  1. I agree with you. Finch keeps this board balanced. One can only take so many "dODge bAll pWNs yoU, mEnDOZA dESErves a STAtue, OMG for teh wIN!1!!1" posts.
  2. AV, I'm right there with you about the meltdown. I've criticized this coaching staff, and it's well known on here. I've stated before, something has to change on the defensive side of the ball at the end of this season. No questions about that. A coaching change and calling for Dodge's head is definitely premature at this point.
  3. My thoughts: 1.At least the Romosexuals will shut up for a week. I'm hearing talk already of his "magic" last night in the last 2 drives. Well, I guess these guys didn't watch the first 3 1/2 qtrs and forgot he was the reason Dallas almost lost this game. 2. The Dallas defense played great and Nick Folk has ice flowing through his veins! 3. I think this game gives telling signs that the NFC just flat out stinks. 4. I'm now a little nervous about the Pats game.
  4. Both were huge losses. I think Woody saw the writing on the wall and his pride wouldn't let him change positions. Did he really have a shot at QB? It's debatable, but I do wish he would've leant his physical abilities at DB or WR.
  5. LOL!!!!!!
  6. Finch, Lately, I've agreed with many of your posts and will say that I was hoping Harbaugh would be hired here instead of Dodge. However, I think you're not being as "open minded" as you should be. Considering our options, Dodge was a very good candidate & choice. We needed someone who REALLY wants to be here. Someone who's looking to break into the college game and turn a program around so he can "move" on to bigger and better things. Dodge was a perfect fit, IMO. I think he's earned a 3 year window to turn things around. Anything less wouldn't be "fair". Criticism, on the other hand, comes with the job. That I wont argue with & Dodge should be criticised for what's transpired these last 5 weeks.
  7. Apparently, it's better than yours. Damn right, and make sure you remember this before you post. Since you have the uncanny ability of detecting my skill level of defensive "coordination", what does that make you? The head armchair defensive coordinator? 'Cause I will admit, I think I'm pretty good at recognizing defensive schemes after playing football through high school & college.
  8. Where are the L & A's (lovers & apologists) at?
  9. Surely, you're speaking of Willingham and NOT "super genious" Charlie Weiss. Weiss won with Tyron's guys and is losing with his own.
  10. So you think: Laura Miller was the best mayor ever for the City of Dallas. Dickey didn't deserve to be fired. Aliens exist and abduct people in their sleep. Oh and the police chief would be fired if the crime rate went from 10% to 60% in less than 12 months. NT dominated T.O.P because ULL's average scoring drives took ~1:30. One thing I will agree with you is that this team lacks team speed. Specifically, at the skilled positions.
  11. Firing Dodge is NOT the solution. Does he deserve criticism? Yes. Does his staff deserve criticism? Yes. Should he look into changing his staff around? Yes. Should Dodge be fired? NO. Give the man a chance, he's only been the head coach for one year. He's earned a right to get this thing going within a 3 year window. Believe me, I'm not happy at all with the defensive play. Something has to be done. But calling for Dodge's head really makes little sense at this point. And I thought I was harsh!!!!!!!!!
  12. Agreed 100%.
  13. I think one of the biggest changes in College Football is the limiting of scholarships & the increased TV exposure for smaller schools. Talent began spreading out to different universities. The Big Boys could no longer recruit someone for the sake of keeping Player X from playing for Powerhouse Program Team Y. Granted, the Elite schools still have little problems in getting their "guy", they just don't dominate in sucking up high school talent like they used to. I totally agree with you in that Nebraska's dominance came from the elite physical abilities of their players. When their talent began "watering down"( I use that phrase very loosely) they could no longer just pummel opposing defenses with the running game.
  14. 15. Will speedo wearing Hassellhoff make his return?
  15. So what should we call it then -- "No Run N' Shoot" ?
  16. Charlie Weiss get's my vote.
  17. Charlie Weiss was a winner. Doesn't mean he's protected from getting thrown under the bus for the "goings ons" in South Bend.
  18. #7 - Will I coat my catfish in Louisiana Fish Fry or Zatarrans when I fry tonight?
  19. Ask Andy Reid why his Eagles have been so good on defense for so many years and he'll tell you it's all about Jim Johnson's attacking defensive scheme. They're defense has had good players, but none great.
