  1. It's really hard not to believe this at this point in time. NT would (and should) have more than 1 win at this point.
  2. So you two agreed on the pink underwear?
  3. Come to the darkside!!
  4. Navy - 38 NT - 24
  5. This is what baffles me. I'm guessing this defensive staff considers some of the freshman LB's better than this guy?
  6. Move to LB or from? I'm just curious as to why they moved him. I thought he was really good last year.
  7. Big loss, IMO. Thank godness depth at LB has not been an issue for NT. As a side note, anyone know why Germaine Dawson was moved to DB??? He was one of the better LB's on last years team.
  8. How about all the dope "slangin'" in your "hood"? Because we all know whites don't do such things. I think it's time to put this whole situation behind us.
  9. He's not the only one and I fear many people have already made judgement calls before all the information can be assessed. I'm getting "hell" from many friends who are alums from Big 12 universities. They only have about as much info as Mr.Cox on the situation.
  10. I agree with you emmitt. Here's a little insight from a friend who played during the DD era: We were talking over the phone about the racism allegations, and he thought it was funny a couple of DD's recruits were behind it. My friend, who is an african-american ( and so is my wife if that matters ), said DD was "spineless". Players did pretty much whatever they wanted and he would turn a blind eye as long as you came to practice. It was very common for many players to come to practice drunk or "under the influence". One of his "protege's", who will remain nameless, acted like he was still a college student. He was more concerned about chasing "hoes" & clubbing. Many players would see him at the same college hotspots they went to. I find this very interesting and it may very well boil down to the levels of discipline this new staff is trying to impose.
  11. I hope you're right. In the day and age of the media knowing when Britney Spears has a hershey highway on her panties, I fear we may be in for some harsh national publicity.
  12. Well since we all seem to love to make generalizations, how about the reality that college football is dominated by african-american athletes, yet we're the only university "lucky" enough to have 3 players on the same team accuse the coaching staff of racism? I can't remember any program within the last 5 years having such serious accusations thrown at it.
  13. It's still about graduation rates. Do you have any idea of what the graduation rates for the general student body are? I promise you, it's a lot uglier than you think. I remember reading only 40% of all students who start an undergraduate degree have received their degrees within 7 years.
  14. The 5-star comment was supposed to have a hint of sarcasm attached to it. I know he isn't a "real" 5-star recruit.
  15. Absolutely agree with you here. I personally think he's severely overrated. He's a good player, just not the 5-star recruit many make him out to be.
  16. I don't see why the interview is seen as a "croc"? The young men really didn't say anything to help or hurt themselves. I will say one thing, it is apparent some form of miscommunication occurred along the way. I'm just sick and tired of hearing about this coaching staff's "learning curve" from game-time adjustments, personnel, to player dealings & conduct. It does seem that these players are disgruntled from the new rules and changes, but I wonder if the coaches reached out to them in another form to help them understand why these things happen? These are very serious accusations. I'm very upset that my university has to endure such harsh "publicity" and possible public scrutiny. Absolutely ridiculous.
  17. I keep hearing thse annoying commercials about DishNetwork & DirecTV not carrying The Mountain West channel. Is this any indication of how the conference is doing in terms of money?
  18. I think Finch is trying to say many players are unhappy. There is no definite split like you're thinking. As stated in my earlier post, it's naive to think DG is the only player with the problem. These kids are not idiots and neither are the coaches. Racism, I certainly hope, is not the real issue here. However, one can't ignore the fact that something has gotten out of hand within the team.....
  19. This is my question as well. Players usually show loyalty to their coaches. I think it's a little naive to think DG is the only one who has a problem and blow this off. The kid is not an idiot, neither are the coaches.
  20. There's always a bright side, you just got to look at it from the right angle. As for this year's record, I said from the beginning this season should be considered a success if it finished at .500. I expected this team to be in games and have more than one win. I would be happy with 5 wins come years end. However, the team's current performance has me worried that one win may be it.
  21. Just more fuel to the fire of an already dismal season. I hope everything works out and NT doesn't suffer. I can't help but wonder how much frustration exists between the current coaching staff and it's players? People handle situations in different ways, & DG unfortunately went this route. Is the locker room in a state of unrest? Have the coaches "lost" many of it's upperclassmen????
  22. Absolutely agree with you. JMo is the best player on this team and I strongly feel he's not involved enough in this offense. That's another topic I'll stray away from. he's still one of my all time favorite players to ever wear the Green.
  23. Do you think NT will be blowing the Toppers out this year????????
  24. Damn, man. Why so much anger? In the scheme of things, it's just a game and things like that happen. Nooone condones late hits or cheap shots, but we've all been on both ends (assuming most here have played organized sports in some form at some level). Ever been under a dog pile during a game? Crazy stuff goes on under there, but when the horn sounds that's all left on the field.
  25. It's apparent the losing has gotten to you too, OldTimer. I agree with alot with what you're saying, but injuries are part of the game that every team has to deal with. Personal attacks are uncalled for period. But "constructive" criticisms shouldn't be censored and I fear we are moving in that direction. Please don't deal with it in this way and place an iron fist on these boards.
