Meager winning the job is not very likely to happen, IMO, but I'll bite.... If this were to happen, I'd think Vizza would be most effected. He'd be sandwiched between Meager and the coach's son. RD will most likely get redshirted in this scenario. Would Vizza be willing to stick it out as a backup? I'm not saying he couldn't beat RD out, just saying what everyone's thinking here on RD's "unfair" advantage. Meags winning the job is more of a sign on Vizza's ability, IMO.

Quoner, I fully agree with you. How about Moderators create a NEW forum specifically for us NT fans to bullshit about everyday "goings-ons"? Of course racism , sexism, etc. will still be moderated in this forum, but it will allow a little more "room to move". Well, I just realized this, but the Non-UNT forum does this now. How about the Mods retitle it, bold it, put it in italics, & move it to the top of the list? That might help us choose to go there instead of football first. Most message boards that I am a apart of, this particular forum sees about 10x the amount of traffic compared to the other forums. Here, it seems everyone defaults to the football forum. Mods should make it a priority to encourage use of the "Bullshit" forum and leave our sports topics specifically for sports.

As good as the overall offense was last season(compared to the DD years of course), it fluttered in key situations on many occasions. Lack of an explosive RB really hurt, IMO. hopefully, Cam can have an impact year.

The offense and defense will show flashes of what's to come in 2009. I know,I know, why can't we see significant improvement in year 2? It could happen, I just don't think DeLoach can fix the huge screwup, left for him by person's to be remained unnamed, in one season. As much as I don't like it, I'm sticking with the thought the defense will be "up to speed" with the O by '09.

I've been working offsite and have not been able to look into this story, but word is this kid's parents paid a middle man to "help" get the kid's name out to D1 programs. The kid, supposedly, isn't even close to D1 talent and the middle man took off with their money anyway. How could the parents not know how good their own son is???

I'm sort of in agreement with you. However, it IS the offseason, so expect to see detailed goings ons regarding our in state "brethren".

The guy obviously knows DeLoach's system, played at the D1 level (which is more that what many high school/college coaches have done), & already has coaching experience. He sounds more than qualified in my book. As a position coach, his job is to translate the DC's overall gameplan to his specific group. I think he's more than qualified to do that.

The media had that bullet locked and loaded the minute he stepped off the plane from Mexico. Noodle arm deserves all the criticism he gets this offseason from media & the DFW fanbase. I couldn't help but laugh during the middle of the year when people were comparing him to Staubach & Aikman. He doesn't even deserve to be in teh same breath as Danny White. Danny boy at least got to 3 NFC Title games. How could you look past his 20+ INT's this year and compare him to Cowboy greats??????

Garret is as overrated as Romo is. Horrible play calling by teh offense, IMO. There's enough blame to go around but it all starts at the QB.
