Riley comes in and will tip off defenses as he will either get thrown to, get the ball on a reverse, or throw the ball on a reverse pass. Cam will run the ball well but only get in every 4th offensive series. Defensive secondary gets torched because the DL will get no pressure.

I'm pleasantly surprised. However, the chaos surrounding Louisiana most of last week, combined with the fact that Auburn is around the corner, probably had this LSU team less focused. I'm not trying to be a Negative Nancy, but it is what it is.

The Sun Belt does only have one Auto bid to the New Orleans Bowl. However, that doesn't enitirley limit the SBC from bowls. There are too many bowls in the FBS to begin with, so many Bowls cannot fill a spot with eligible teams. This is definitely good for our conference. The last 3 years, I'm almost certain the Sun Belt sent 2 teams to Bowls. The SBC commissioner is supposedly working on getting another tie-in, but I've been hearing that for 3 years now.

Is throwing more times a game than the DD years progress to you? It's only week 2, but so far it's the only difference I see.

Well, I agree with you, just because I'm not a fan of these types of offenses. In Dodge's defense, Tulsa runs the no huddle (similar to Florida, not the 4yd B.S. NT runs but the no huddle non the less) and they are where this team wants to be at some point. I still have mixed feelings because you can see passing plays are flat out designed for specific WR's with the others acting as blockers/decoys on 1-2nd downs. You throw the ball on a quick pass and your WR's have to make blocks or make people miss on the corners. The OL is constantly back peddling to pass block (another reason I hate these offenses). There is no point of attack for the OL. Firing off to run block doesn't exist so you can't wear the D down. RB's have 1 priority - block. That is why our best RB, Cam, doesn't start.

Who's calling to bring DD back??? Man, I'm very critical of Dodge at this point, but damn, NEVER would I want to return to a program under the Dickster.

Absolutely agree. It's been the same with this O since day one, padding stats in garbage time but can't bring it when it counts.

Could it be all the game film teams now have on Dodge's O? I think it has some effect.

The offense is really bad right now. Dodge may be getting desperate. The D was on the field most of teh 1st half. The O did nothing. And why the hell is Cam NOT starting??????

I blame Dodge's offense. Absolutely abysmal and can only score in garbage time. How many 1 minute drives did the O have in the 1st half?? The D was on the field too long, what do you expect?

They have to start developing a more diverse run game and make sure Cam is the focal point. Draws up the middle 10 times a game only work in 5A. I'm not saying we need to be Air Force or GT, but anything is better than nothing. I've got faith in TD, he definitely tried to run more than I expected vs KSU.
