I talked the cashier at the vietnamese resteraunt Pho Mama to vote yes. He said he would tell all his friends to do the same. Strange thing, he had no clue where to vote because he never heard anything on campus about it. . He did say the new coach sucks because NT won the sunbelt all the time under the new coach.

I completely understand what you're saying. No matter how much we love him or hate him, Dodge is going to get a 3rd year. One thing I refuse to believe, there would be no coaches willing to come to North Texas if Dodge were let go. The line would be out the door. We are a FBS program in the state of Texas, who wouldn't want to come here?

You definitely sound like a Dodge apologist. Better yet, we should just tag you with a famous Randy Galloway line, you're a L&A (Lover & Apologist). Anyway, you speak with so much confidence. What has he done, other than take over a SLC school that was always successful, to make you believe this will happen. I was not for the Dodge hire from the beginning. And many of the people who are upset are in my same position. Do you really expect us to change tune after seeing the worst performances by NT football the last 2 seasons? There are many FCS(D1AA) coaches who are willing to make the jump to a legitimate FBS program. NOrth Texas is not the gutter of D1 football yet, but is slowly going that way.

Let's break this down into baby steps: For this week, the special teams should shoot for an error free game. No blocked XP's, punts, etc. No penalties for clipping, holding, etc. No long returns. Next week, should concentrate on teh offense. The week after will be the defense's turn. The 4th week should concentrate on putting all 3 together to see NT can get it's first win!!!

LBers have to be quick to react regardless of the D called. If the end crashes he's going to keep it, if he plays the Qb it's going to be a handoff. In the end, you really want the RB to get the ball to force the play towards the flow of the defense. The QB is the most dangerous in the zone read play, IMO. If he's a helluva an athlete, this play can be deadly.

This not only goes for Riley. There were other recruits who were very athletic as QB and were moved to the defensive side of the ball. Hell, we had probably one of the best running QB's to come through NT when Woody Wilson was here. I'm sure Dodge didn't even give 2 $hits about keeping him there, considering how Meager got axed fairly quickly.
