My money's on Riley. Let's be real here, it's obvious it's his job to lose, and it he would have to make a mountain of mistakes to be "dethroned". With that said, I'm very excited to see what he can bring to the table. He's a legitimate 3-star talent, IMO. I sincerely hope that if or when TD gets canned, Riley will stay on as NT's starting QB.

Why does Dodge refuse to recruit real Dual Threat QB's? His offense, in high school, obviously relies on speed at QB. He converts every one of them, other than his son, into DB's & RB's.

Never said anything about not getting a top QB recruit. I only pointed out the fact a JUCO QB is not looking to ride the pine for his 2-3 years of remaining eligibility. Starting QB leaves after 2 years, JUCO guy's chances are slim to none with Daddy's boy in the driver seat.

That has been my thinking the whole time. Any outsider will think UNT's starting QB for 2 years left due to the coach's son handed the job on a silver platter. Why would a JUCO player want to waste his short D1 career riding the pine?

How could you not go away from that movie without having that song permanently embedded in your head? They used that song for 99% of all situations occurring in the movie. Paul Blake drives tractor in at the beginning - cue the theme, coach genero shakes the deans hand- cue the theme,Blake walks up to practice for the first time - cue the theme, Blake and young female professor flirt - cue the theme, Barfight at BilyBobs - cue teh theme, etc. etc. etc.

Troy Dodge, er uh, Phillips, should reread the SAE article. Nowhere does it say the Vizza's are expecting Gio to obtain a new scholarship. How does he know if Vizza expects to pay for his first year at his new college? That could very well be the case.

Yes, we must train in him to lead the new Spread Message Board Attack system. However, UNT2012 must be redshirted this year as we do have have a stud upperclassman in Quoner leading the attack. Quoner has lead us to 2 consecutive Toilet Bowls, 2012 will just have to wait for his time to come. OldGuyStudent is pushing to start when Quoner leaves, so I hope 2012 doesn't try to transfer.

You don't want the kid to comeback and bite you in the a$$ through play or knowledge of the offensive system. Stipulations are very common when scholarship releases are granted. I don't think it's unreasonable to not allow him to transfer to any SBC school. Anything other than that would be unnecessary and probably more out of spite than anything.

Todd Dodge's offense needs a true dual threat QB. Dodge could use this offense all day in high school, but at this level he needs the talent & speed kicked up a notch at this position. I seriously have my doubts about Riley being fast enough & durable enough to make it work. Look at what the high school team from Miami(or wherever the hell they were from) did to TD & RD when they beat them. SLC wasn't the fastest team on the field. You can't win when you're game is based on your best athlete being the QB and he's the 10th best player on the field.
