  1. Our uniforms are screaming for green pants!!
  2. Agree 100%, D to C- coaching grade. Playcalling inside the 5 is an issue 2 weeks in a row. Defense & special teams were playing very well. What lesson are going to teach your Sr. runningback by keeping him out???? He fumbled the ball, the exchange wasn't very clean between him & Riley to begin with, plus it's a freakin' monsoon out there. Cam should get 20 carries a game, period.
  3. The strong showing against Ohio is enough to squash it. If Ohio had won convincingly, then, I would say the BSU loss to NH really shows where we are at.
  4. I wouldn't guarantee that just yet. Vertical passing game non existant, questionable play calling inside the ten 2 weeks in a row, injured starting QB. On the bright side, this team team had this game won and has shown it is NOT the same team from last year. Could NT go 1-6? Absolutely. However, they will be in every game until the end, and that's all we want at this point.
  5. Perfect throw, perfect catch. Not even close.
  6. Yes it is. The same shoulder.
  7. I thought it was the right call. Keep everything in front of you, rush only 3-4 down lineman. Like I said in another thread, Theo whatever-his-name-is, makes that throw once out of 100 chances. Gotta tip my hat to him, he delivered like the postal service
  8. Make sure mommy tucks you in and turns on the night light for you.
  9. Ohio had two huge goalline stands. The last play of the game shows what a true goalline package can do for your offense. The shotgun handoffs inside the 5 drive me nuts. Still though, NT had plenty of opportunities to win.
  10. Penalty kept our overtime drive alive for a TD. Works both ways. The Ohio QB makes that throw only once out of 100 attempts. Too bad the 1 time was on us.
  11. That we don't know. We'll find out this week.
  12. So I was close on expecting Ohio -4.
  13. Game film is now out on Riley. This team is much improved, but still a 5-6 win team, IMO. Ohio has 2 Sr. QB's and still the MAC East fav. I dont think the running game will come as easy this week and the question is still out on our vertical passing game. Kicking may also hurt us. Ohio - 31 NT - 27
  14. That's a little closer than I expected. I was expecting Ohio -4. If I were a betting man, and I am just not on my own teams, I'd pass on this game @-1.
  15. Lines wont be released until the games for week 1 are completed.
  16. I had Indian food for lunch yesterday (Kbob N' Curry, excellent place to eat). Right before kickoff, seriously, I'm talking minutes before kickoff, a massive gut wrneching stomach shattering, indian food induced pain hit me. I sprinted to the restroom, Cam Montgomery 3&25 1st down run-style, knocking over chairs & my sons dump trucks on my way to the porcelain god. I proceeded to release a massive form that took on a shape of an ant hill, that was to my surprise, green. I knew we were going to win. Kbob & Curry every Saturday for lunch until we lose!!!
  17. BSU adjusted well at half time and pretty much squashed that play. DE's were staying at home, forcing the run up the gut where the DLine & Lbers finished it off quick. NT ran it several times unsuccessfully in the 3rd before putting it on the back burner for the night.
  18. Kram, you know I have to come in and shoot you down a bit. It was a great win, no doubt. They way Riley runs, durability is definitely still a concern. Will he last an entire season playing that way? I don't want to imagine the difference in the offense if he goes out. Now that TD is showing some signs of success, can he capitalize?
  19. I said this was the measuring stick for this team. BSU is in a rebuilding mode(much more than I thought now that I've seen last nights game) which should give NT a chance to to compete. Not only did they compete, they dominated, and won on the road. Defense challenged themselves and delivered. Great, great, win.
  20. Well, I read your quote saying it was his 1st game ever in D1, maybe you meant to say as a starting QB?
  21. Announcer did say this. Why would he lie and how is this insulting to Sr's? Paraphrasing the announcer, he asked Todd about taking this program to the "next" level. Todd said this team was still a year away, but felt the current team was going to surprise some people and do some great things.
  22. Huge improvement. Kicking is scary.
  23. Great assessments and on point. My only gripe, with the experienced OL and a helluva runner in Cam, running the ball inside the 5 should be a priority. I'm not talking shotgun draw up the middle, come out in two tights or an offset I and run it. Surprisingly, they did do this on occasion, but blatantly apparent when Dunbar & Mathis came in. Don't get cute, 6pts is 6pts even if you run it in. This team has speed on both ends. Defense looked killer. Kicking is going to be rollercoaster ride this year.
  24. Hate to burst your bubble, but he did play in a couple of games last year at WR. I agree with you 100%. Riley's skill in this offense is very apparent. His comfort level is beyond what I expected. My cousin, a UT alum, sent me a text last night after the game saying Todd Dodge is prepping himself to take over UT.
  25. Yes yes yes. DeLoach the unsung HERO!!!!!!!
