Stopped reading your post when I read this ridiculous line. JUCO similar to Texas 5A???? Most of JUCO schools are talents pools with many D1 non qualifiers. Yes there is an occasional non D1 player who guts it out for the love of the game, but the talent level surpasses D3 & D2 easily. And if you think D2 & D3 are below 5A football, you've been playing too much PS3 football... Texas 5A football, you might have 1 or 2 kids during the whole game who are worthy of a D1 scholarship....

I think there being very little film on a Riley lead offense at NT helped greatly against BSU. You see how fast BSU adjusted in the 2nd half, quickly getting back in the game. The zone read feuled the offense that night. BSU stuffed it in the 2nd half and the offense fluttered down the toilet with it. The bad weather in wk 2 was a great equalizer for NT, IMO. This week, the offense was handily outcoched.

Well i haven't lost confidence yet considering BSU losses and the close one with Ohio. I'm still thinkng 5-6 wins this year. I've got a pretty good feeling going into the army game. If that's a win, then this team will need 3-4 wins in conference to hit my prediction. I'm leaning 3 wins I conference, 1 vs Army, puts NT at 5-7.

It's about time a thread like this brings everyone down to earth. I was tired of all the Puppy dogs & Ice Cream being blown up my a$$ the last two weeks! Reality is, this team is better than last year. Reality is, anything can be better than being dog last in the FBS. At least half the Sun Belt beats Ball St. this year. Personally, I think the weather this past Sat. was the great equalizer for NT against Ohio. As the year moves on, the year will become more difficult. How will the coaches adjust with key injuries, especially at QB? Something that has yet to be mentioned on GMG, is the very real possibility of this shoulder injury being a nagging issue for the rest of the year. As long as the defense continues to play lights out & they ride Cam, this team should be in every game (Bama thrown out). Successful year = 5 wins, IMO. Very doable....
