the title of this thread has me scratchin' my head. Dodge does indeed "deserve" something. Another year as HC of our beloved NT isn't it, IMO. Anybody care to guess what it is?

Now TCU is only a private school with ~5k students, right? Unlike the 35k+ we sport.

Sad to hear Tobe going out like this. He was one of the few bright spots in such a dim Dodge filled era. I'm wishing him the best from here on out.

The entire staff goes when Teflon Todd is axed. I don't think anyone assumes any of this staff remains in any scenario involving Dodge leaving. Take care of the problem at the source. Dodge is the HC and deserves all the blame with all parts of this program (and all the credit if it were in a positive state).

Good idea, but it wont happen. How embarrassing would that be for TD to be demoted by the AD to OC. He would have to be moved to another part of teh Athletic Department where he couldn't even sniff a football field. That's teh only way reassigning him would work.

Yeah, not a direct quote. I was referring to Vito's line about RV saying he would evaluate the program come years end. Quoting out of context is certainly powerful!!! We all know RV's real evaluation won't come for a couple of years. After all, he gave Dodge a 5 year contract.

Attacking a fan for the amount they give is the issue I had. 10 people give a $1k or 1 person gives $10k, it's all the same. I'm just glad they're donating. With that said, as a supporter/donator, you have the right to bitch/moan if you're not happy with the state of the program. I commend you for "increasing your support" in down times. But, as you stated, money is the deciding factor, so what do most Boosters do when programs perform as crappy as THIS program has done teh last 3 years - They pull their money. What do AD's do when this happens? They fire people. What happens when programs win?? Booster donations go up. If you know all this, why are you so surprised by these type of comments? Is it because at NT we don't have a pro athletics culture? i hate to break it to you, but thsi is how it works at most collegiate athletic programs. Noone is knocking you for supporting the program. Don't just follow blindly & SPEAK UP if you're disgusted at the current state of affairs. One man decides who coaches what sports. He can make mistakes, he's only human. Then again, you could be happy at the direction NT is heading.

How will firing the worst coach at the FBS level set this program back into rebuilding mode??? NT will STILL be rebuilding in 2 years because of where this program is now. Besides, everyone runs the Spread offense, now, so your chances of hiring a coach who knows how to utilize this type of personnel will be pretty high, IMO. As for the defense & special teams, how could any other staff do any worse???????????? Look at the history here, people: Ridiculously lousy losing percentage, original high school staff all but ousted, Racism scandal (negative pub regardless of who was right or wrong), butt ugly SLC Copycat uniforms, major players quitting, etc, etc. Students made their voices heard when they voted FOR a new stadium IN SPITE of Dodge, not because of him. It's a helluva lot more risky to sit back and do absolutely nothing, IMO.
