I dont. The guy makes ~$300k to fail miserably at his job, and may get to do so one more year. Wish my job would pay me my full salary to blow up multi million dollar equipment, install known bad parts, & sleep for 4 of the 8 hours I'm required to work, then tell me I will probably get one more year to do it all over again.

How the hell does this affect recruiting?? Homophobia seems more like it, IMO. It's funny no one went up in arms when Teflon Todd had his racism fiasco come through. You want to talk mud on the face of the university, look there. You want to talk negative effects on recruiting, look there. The worst stint EVER by an NT coach, and I'm obviously not only talking win/loss percentages, has occurred the last 3 years under this man. I don't think homecoming nominations will mean 2 rat turds to any potential recruit.

Did you know this jackass actually had gastric bypass a few years ago? teh guy cant even follow teh directions of his doctors. Pretty successful surgery, Charlie. The Golden Showers think they're up there with the UF's, UT's, & OU's of the world, when in fact, they've been nothing more than an average mid-major program the last decade. NBC wont be giving them a crazy TV deal when this contract expires, book it. Kragthorpe, if he's canned, should be priority #1. If RV and this university are absolutely serious about taking this program to the next level, they need to do the right thing and hire a LEGITIMATE coach.

Riley is helluva player and will develop into a good QB at this level, if he's guided by good coaches. If he leaves with his dad, I wouldn't fault him for it. The kid obviously lives his dad, he did follow him here to NT. With that said, most high schools and most college teams run some sort of spread offense. Transitioning to another coach won't be as difficult, IMO, since the chances of hiring one of these coaches is pretty high. I'm confident Riley would thrive in a Pro Style offense. Bootlegs/waggles would fit him well. They'll adapt the offense to him, his height will force the pocket to move and limit the 3 step drop.

Riley is a good QB. If he can stay healthy, we could see a great one develop. With that said, it doesn't hide the fact this team is really bad and probably won't win another game this year. Teflon Todd should be on the hot seat.

I don't think anyone knocks the kId so mch for his potential and ability. It's his durability that's been questioned by most on this board. Riley is gong to be a helluva QB if hecan stay healthy, everyone agrees.

Why not compare apples to apples???? Deloach was ridiculously more qualified to be the HC here than Dodge 3 years ago and STILL is. Now, with that said..... Yes if he were in the EXACT same spot. I highly doubt Deloach would have this bad a start had he been the HC from day 1. Dodge's admitted 2 year learning curve early on really threw the program into an abyss.

My head just exploded after reading this. untjim, thanks for giving us the inside information. Deep down, I knew RV was going to let his little experiment play out, at NT's expense. Why else would RV give an undeserved high school coach an almost guaranteed 5 year deal??? When Dodge completes his sleeper hold & then head first pile driver of NT Football, RV should get hit with the chair and then thrown over the turn buckle into unemployment.

Texas couldn't beat Florida, LSU, or Bama. Texas loses to Boise, BYU, & TCU, on a neutral field.
