  1. I think he's gone. His comment from earlier in the week, his post game comments with George, and the rumors all point to an exit as HC. He may be reassigned, but I'm pretty confident the signs point to him being away from the important parts of the football program.
  2. There is a difference between 5A & JC Ball. Lots of failed qualifiers end up at the JC ranks. You're severely underestimating the talent at that level.
  3. So he's basically going to be a Dave Camp/Wade Phillips type puppett? I highly doubt Dodge, or any coach with a pair, to accept this talking head role.
  4. I don't understand this whole loyalty from other high school coaches??? Are we talking SLC, the Woodlands, who?? Other than his personal friends, I doubt most high school coaches in Texas could give 2 rat turds about Dodge & his situation. His abysmal record and head first face plant of this program into the ground is doing more harm for recruiting than any positions of loyalty from a few random coaches.
  5. Add Babe Laufenberg, Lou Holtz, & Brent Musberger to that Beagle Turd level.
  6. I think Fran is as solid a hire as you can get. His track record is beyond proven.
  7. Why the hell is RV playing these word games? Looks like Dodge is going to get reassigned somehow. It's funny how Dr.B's name is thrown in there, now. I wonder how far she's planted her boot up RV's rear to get this "change" rolling?
  8. I acknowledged in another post that I had a brain fart. Yes, he did waste an entire year on a few mnutes in the last game of the year.
  9. Enough of the candy coatings & blowing sunshine & puppy dogs up everyone's a$$hole. The guy was in over his head, big time. He failed big time in the face of adversity. What does the track record show from SLC?? From that I think you can say he was never really called upon to tackle tough situations. It's been noted here before, but his previous stInts before SLC were on the failing end. He may be the worlds nicest guy, but he failed to live up the hype and is severely ovrrated, IMO.
  10. Duh, you're right. He wasted a whole year of elgibility in one game. Too many margaritas tonight!!
  11. Thompson was already shirted, burning his shirt at the last game of the year is nit that big a deal, IMO. The kid will have four years of eligibility remaining. He will NOT be eligible for another redshirt year. If you burn it in game 3 or game 12, that is still your redshirt year. No sweat. I'll be glad to see Dodge get the boot and will complain about his other decisions, Thompson playng today is a non issue.
  12. Yes to Franocchio!!! The man can coach. Think of the news NT would make with him coming back to DFW.
  13. Over/Under?? Doesn't make sense, over or Under what?? I'll correct you & say 12 hours. O/U 12hrs for Dodge's firing. I'm definitely going over here.
  14. Man, emmitt, I would hate to get on your bad side!! You're pretty much twisting the knife, now.
  15. Offer him, again! Who cares if he turned NT down once already???
  16. When Dodge is fired, I think his job came down to what SMU & TCU have done. SMU moreso, IMO. Bowl eligible after just 2 seasons speaks volumes. Yes, I would absolutely agree June is in a completely different league than Dodge. Life isn't fair.....
  17. I think the issue here has never really been about Dan and his coaching ability, but more of "silver spooning" his son into the starting QB role. Cody Hawkins is NOT a FBS caliber player, period. You think the Dodge's have pissed some people off here, just take a look at CU and the Hawkins clan. Wow. At least Riley is a legitimate D1 athlete.
  18. What am I missing here?
  19. Ok, now I'm about to blow a wad in my internet shorts!! What have you heard???
  20. Do you hate Revenge of the Nerds or something?????
  21. For consultants we should consider Lambda Lambda Lambda and the Omega Mu's. They would certainly fight for equality.
  22. Dodge's luster has worn off with a 5-30 record staring at every potential recruit in the face. New stadium & new coach would be a quick shot of energy the program needs. Recruiting would certainly benefit.
  23. yeah, it was a kick to the nuts. My sincere apology.
  24. So why is most of his original staff gone? Why can we expect to see more of this current staff gone after this season? If these are indeed your signs of a good coach......
  25. Yeah, I'm pretty much expecting Teflon Todd to come back. UNTjim1995 made a post a couple of weeks ago that had some good inside information regarding cost and expectations from the "Upper Echelon" of UNT Athletics. Apparently, even if they really gave 2 rat turds about this university and wanted to fire him, they are too strapped for cash to do so (for now). Thread & Post: http://www.gomeangreen.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry451729 I almost cried after reading that. I know Baby Football Jesus did.
