There's no time for motion. Our genius HC calls the play, Offense lines up, then checks based on D's formation. This could happen 2-3 times before every play. You've only got a few seconds to snap.... There's no more calling two plays in the huddle or one play with known checks, then the QB calls the signals giving off blocking scheme info, etc. All the while he's reading the D while possibly setting someone in motion. It's just a different game, now.

What you're saying makes a ton of sense. However, who's to say RV wont change his mind if Teflon Todd wins 4-6 games next year??? We're hearing that "if we take away 5-7 plays we're 6-6" or the good ol' "we're a young team" excuses now. I know rumors are just that, rumors, but apparently, Dodge's neck was under the guillotine with the blade coming down until RV had 2nd thoughts and stopped it. This cat was literally fired & then unfired in less than a week (if you're of the belief rumors hold some substance of truth).

We've got the stadium to fall back on. Let's hope it's construction goes as planned so that it is ready in 2011. I don't think Rick wants to open NT's first year at a new house with a losing coach. If Dodge does post less than a .500 record, it's a no brainer to bring in a new coach. It just makes too much sense, but then again...................

I think Riley should start and is the best Qb on the roster. However, if anyone thinks the Qb position is open, I have some ocean front property in Oklahoma I'd like to sell you.
