Odds makers think these teams are even since NT gets the "within a FG" nod at home. I haven't capped games in a couple of years, but I would stay away from the side on this and strictly bet on a total. This game is really hard to call, IMO.

Crappy call. Alot of you need to pull the stick out of your asses. Showing some emotion after the score should be allowed. It's not like the whole team gathered and pulled a grenade blast celebration.

Find me a FBS school where the #2 QB is a redshirt???? Thompson needs to get as many snaps as possible. The guy is literally a play away from starting. If he's got to get in for mop up duty, like yesterday, so be it. 2 years of eligibility and 1 as the legitimate #2 guy is more than enough efficient use of his time here. Besides, who's to say a true freshman won't come in here and challenge him for the starting spot next year???? Look at Riley and tell me you didn't think he'd be the starting QB here for 4 straight years. Things happen, have your best players available now.

Tune had a good 1st half but bad 2nd half. Dunbar is a stud. Defense played better than expected, but still very bad at times. Special Teams are still bad. I'm stll not sure what to think of this team.

The guy isn't coaching a program slotted in the Big12. The "playing field" & "recruiting expectations" are fairly level in the SBC . Yes, Fouts is old but not a good excuse as to why he's 5-31 in 3 years. Good guy, everyone seems to think so. Good FBS head coach, no.

Canales is a huge upgrade from what we've seen at that coaching spot for the last 3 seasons. Let's hope his impact is as big as many people appear to think it will be. Hell, he's about to walk on water according to most GMG posters...........

I wasn't the biggest DD fan but Dickey delivered & Dodge hasn't. Regardless of DD's total record, he brought 4 SBC championships to Denton. It's the league he was in, not his or that teams choice. They won, period. Dodge wasn't even close to being ready to coach a diverse group of young men at the FBS level. Everyone says he's got the talent, but where are the W's?? My fondest memory of the DD years will only be matched by TD when he receives his walking papers.

I bet a $10million guarantee in TV contracts (which I think Big12 schools are supposed to get with the new deal) from teh Big12 would squash the thought of BYU's own sports channel.

It has everything to do with Utah going into the PAC10,getting a guaranteed cool $10million a year just on TV deals, and an auto bid to a BCS bowl. BYU was left in the dust by their hated rival and are now trying to position themselves in a Notre Lame type spot for BCS acknowledgment. Also, they think they can make way more money televising their own games. The TV money thing is probably true, but a BCS exception won't happen, IMO. As for Utah St, I think it was just the MWC's way of punching the WAC in the gut, saying you're not going to corner the Utah market taking both the Cougs & the Ags. I guess no one realized Utah State had their heads shoved way up BYU's ass.

When the Big12 decides it's ready for a title game and ready to add another school, BYU is the obvious choice. They were mentioned as possible replacements during the UT-PAC10 fiasco. There's more going on here than BYU wanting to spread the Mormon faith. They'll do anything they can to trump the Utes.

At this point, the only change NT will be involved in probably includes absorbing schools from a dead WAC conference. CUSA will look for universities in other TV markets outside of Texas. Maybe if SMU went to the MWC, CUSA might consider us for DFW coverage. Ain't happening........

Dodge finally has the coaching staff where it should have been 4 years ago. 5-6 wins this year cant make one forget all the BS this program went through just so he can finally right his wrongs. 7 wins or he should be canned. Period. New stadium, new chapter for UNT football, new head coach.
