ElToro was trying to get me to put $100 on McCarney vs the Field. I was going to get McCarney & ET would get the field. That's the only string of hope I've got left that Fran or Krags is coming here.

I think many heads will explode in Denton (mine included) if TSU hires Fran when we ink MCCarney.

Previous HC experience with history showing an ability to successfully rebuild a program trumps all, IMO.

He may be the guy in Denton.

I'm thinking Rawlins has both hands all over this hire. Young and up & coming are the least of his concern, I'm sure. How could you blame him, though? Look what RV's up & comer did to our beloved football program.

What I meant was that Neinas' list is the final list, and the University chooses who they want from his list, not necessarily the guy he thinks is the best from that list. if that makes sense...

One thing you can't forget, Neinas didn't have a final say in who these universities ended up hiring. I'm sure he gives his recommendation, but the University decides who they want based on how they cooperatively narrow the list. McCarney could very well be a RV/Rawlins choice after Neinas points to Fran, Leavitt, etc.
