I think it's a pretty simple scenario: Son turns down a big time offer to UT and Dad turns down a NFL coaching job. Both head to a rebuilding program in Denton, TX. Both get a chance to do something they would have never been offered to do: Head Coach a FBS Program & Play QB at the FBS level. Dad runs program into ground & Son falls short of expectations mainly due to injuries. Dad gets fired & leaves UNT, Son is told he's no longer a QB by new staff and leaves UNT. If Dad grows a Mohawk, beard, & starts wearing feathered ear rings, would we begin to see 2 white Mr.T look alikes in the Southlake area?

Good points, but the MWC took Boise St. for nothing other than football. Football is the biggest revenue generator for the university & the conference. If NT starts winning consistantly to go along with the recent showing of dedication to the football program, conferences will come knocking at the door.

Read the article again. Throwing in high school & service academy athletes is meaningless. No High schools or any academy has even a gnat's ass sized ability to generate revenue with their athletes these power conferences do. I'd put money on all academies operating in the red, funding their athletic programs. Hell, just think about that then look at the amounts cited in the article for those power conference schools. We're not talking Jimmy John living in PoDunk, TX thankin' god he get a chance to learn engrish from a nice school in a big dadgum city. We're talking power hungry assholes, holding FBS football by the balls, making backalley deals, doing whatever they can to get elite athletes to their programs. You honestly believe this has nothing to do with money?????

Get rid of the current white helmets and the whole SLC uniform stigma is pretty much gone. I'm thinking we'll see a more traditional uniform without all the extravagant "piping" the current one has. It's the final flushing of the Todd Dodge turd ridden era.

None of that comes close to evening out with the physical stress these student athletes put themselves through. Combine that with the amount of money schools like UT & USC make on their backs and it's not even fair.

Their uniform is hideous. KGreen goes better with black.

I'm a big fan of black jerseys and think our Kelly Green looks great with them, but SMU's new bowl uniform is hideous. Not to mention the helmets clash with the entire thing. Fugly. Can't believe Army is dominating this game. Can't believe I put money on the over....

Looks too much like SLC. Also, being called the Mean Green seems wierd coming out in all white. At least give us green helmets.

Don't forget, we have the SOW head as part of our official UNT logos. It looks like the postal service eagle, but I think it would look great on the side of NT's helmets.

I'm expecting a winning season within 3 years. 4-5 wins next year would be good start, IMO.
