People are tired of hearing this, but Todd Dodge really sent this program plummeting into an abyss. RV should definitely get some of the blame for that. Mac and company have a helluva task in front of them. Just remember, most here thought a 5 win season should be considered a success. Yeah, it would be nice to get a quick turn around but we have to keep things in perspective...

Defense has been the lone bright spot, if you really look hard for a bright spot. There is noticeable improvement on that side of the ball. I predicted 5 wins at the beginning of the year....it's doable...

D's are keying on Dunbar and playing the run. It's tough to beat them passing when NT can't even get average QB play. I said this back after the IU win, this offense is hampered by QB play. That hasn't changed and appears to stay that way until McNulty finds an arm or Ozzy gets in and shows us what he can do. The OL has some youth, but they're not getting blown up every play. Complete a few passes and the running lanes will open up...

We really miss Reilly. Wow. McNulty may be a better runner than DT, but sure as hell isn't a better passer. UNT needs to recruit a couple of QBs this year....

We'll gladly take a BE invite. Travel partners for SMU?

I think it all hinges on what Mizzu wants to do. If they bolt for the SEC, the B12 will probably raid the BE of a few schools. Looks like the BE is now the conference on the verge of dissolving.......

For those doubting a need for a DFW presence, don't kid yourselves. There's a reason SMU & TCU are the first to get considerations for invites. There's a reason Jerry World hosts many regular season college games. There's a reason Texas-OU is played in Dallas. There's a reason the Cotton Bowl continues to be played in the DFW metroplex. RECRUITING. The North Texas area is a hotbed for football talent. It's important for conferences to be able to play games and showcase their schools in this area. It's a key factor in drawing talent to their respective universities. UNT is in a very good position right now, IMO....

So if BSU & AFA turn down the Big East, will the Big12 steal a couple of teams and start the demise of the BE? A month ago we all thought the B12 was toast and now the BE may be the one to go. Missouri will be the domino that kick starts it all....

Really? I wonder why the Big12 hasn't targeted Boise?

The TV money alone will be much improved over what they were getting in CUSA.

Hell, why settle for a CUSA invite??? Lets push for the MWC! Losing TCU and now with SMU going to the BE, there's only one option left in DFW. I woudl love to see the MW patch on the NT jerseys!

This team definitely shows discipline. Hats off to Coach Mac for that.

I just read our D has 2 pick 6's. NT has to be top in the SBC in defensive scoring, right?

Would someone be so kind as to post updates to the game, please? I'm stuck at a wedding....

I never understood the hatred for saying UNT. It works for other schools like USC, UCLA, UT, OU, etc. Whenever I speak to alums from some of these places I NEVER hear them say "University of ----" or "-------- University". That still doesn't mean the schools change their signs, statues, buildings,etc. I hear UNT all the time around the DFW area anyway, so this is nothing new, or surprising, IMO....
