I'm very surprised over this. I don't see the advantages of a conference merge? Will they have to share TV revenue? The MWC never had a title game, so CUSA is willing to add more teams to that payout? This doesn't seem very well thought out. More of a desperation move by the two conferences, IMO.

I'm posting this here hoping my fellow GMGers can help my wife's elementary school. She teaches at Tomas Rivera in Denton and they're having a fundraiser for the school at the McDonalds in Hickory Creek off Swisher & I35e. All sales between 5pm - 8pm today will go directly to the school. Tomas Rivera Elementary is a Title I school with a majority of students from low income and needy families. If you're hungry today and have the urge for fast food, I ask you stop by and help a good cause. There's no tipping or anything of that nature. Teachers will be working the register and drive through. Thanks!

People are crying over the MWC because timezone? Look what it did for TCU. The Frogs and Utes brought the MWC to the level we see it presently. Why can't it do the same for UNT??? The schools in the MWC, even after Boise & AFA leave, are a step above any team in the Belt. It's a no brainer, IMO. UNT would be stupid to not take the MWC bid if it comes. Can you imagine the buzz in the metroplex? TCU has given the MWC a name locally. We would benefit from that.

Don't worry too much. The more conference shakeups and team moves, the better for UNT, IMO. Like an earlier poster stated, the dominoes are just starting to fall with the big AQ conferences. Now that they've trickled down into the mid-major area, we should see lots of movement on that level. Things are just getting started...

Any coincidence to the teams performance the last few games and who's running the QB position? Home games DT plays, NT competes. Road games DT out/injured, NT mails it in.

I've only seen one post calling for firings. Anyway, I'm there with you on Coach Mac. He definitely deserves a few seasons to turn this thing around. I think he's got NT pointed in the right direction...
