  1. I'm making a bold prediction here, so mark this in stone. UNT will get in. This new Super Conference America will have 24 teams, with two 12 team divisions, the Mountain West and CUSA-East. These two divisions will NOT play each other. Teams will play within their own division with the champion of each division going to the Super Conference America Championship game. My only guess is this new conference has hopes of sending this champion into a sort of "BCS bid" whenever the big conferences finish realignment and work out new bowl contracts and stipulations. Maybe this is the mid-major's last stand for inclusion as these rifts continue to break the haves from the have nots, who knows?? Whoever is left out will be royally screwed when the dust settles....
  2. Wishing you well, Coach.
  3. Having Rawlins as President has to give NT an edge.
  4. C'mon Scooter!!!
  5. Glad my kids weren't standing next to me when I decided to click on the pic. Yikes!
  6. First, I would like to say it is a little disappointing NT didn't land more 3 star recruits. But, one thing to remember, this coaching staff has to look at hours of film on each player they recruit. That in itself makes ALL the difference. They wouldn't have received an offer if the staff did not feel they were D1 capable. I think the 5 & 4 star recruits are easier & obvious to rank. The 2 to 3 star's are all muddled in together and interchangeable, IMO. One winning season is all NT needs to turn that corner in recruiting, IMO.
  7. I'm hoping this was just him taking advantage of a free trip. He stated it was a 2 horse race between UNT & AFA, I'm hoping that's still true. Crossing fingers & toes!!!
  8. Not posting a winning record in damn near a decade hurts recruiting a lot more than you think. Look at the records of the programs that have stolen recruits from NT. Kids want to win, period. Yeah NT's invested a ton into facilities & coaching recently. Key word, recently. Do you think it's a coincidence Tony Mitchell signed with NT? It sure as hell isn't, IMO. Two NCAA tourney visits, a streak of 20 win seasons, and the stability of a coach with tenure at NT got him here. Apply that to football and the better recruits will come.
  9. I saw the same comments and couldn't believe the one made by the Teflon Todd apologist. Dodge was the worst thing to ever happen to NT football the last decade, period. He failed to coach, improve, & develop most of the recruits brought to Denton. How many kids played out their eligibility that were his recruits????
  10. Denton vs Ditka? Who wins then?
  11. Isnt that the type of journalist a lot of GMGers wanted Vito to be? Dodge hasnt been on the job 5 minutes and that guy is swinging hard from Todd's sack...
  12. Can TM be our DWade and take us as far as Wade took Marquette?
  13. Any FBS conference not named the WAC or SBC is ideal enough for me.
  14. How does the old saying go about history repeating itself?
  15. It's a shame, but I wouldn't worry. Lance will be in the NFL next year.
  16. I guess Evans will take it down to the wire. Hopefully, we wont feel like the Ravens did after a classic Billy Cundiff shank job...
  17. I can come up with 4x365 reasons.
  18. Man, I want one of these!
  19. Carrolton Newman Smith repeat?
  20. It happens, recruits will decommitt. These are still young kids that are easily influenced. Good Luck with the Green Wave.
  21. C'mon Je'rod, join us in Denton!
  22. Teflon Todd strikes again!
  23. Any word on Mr. Evans?
  24. Please tell me there's a ship left for the Mansfield QB, Je'rod Evans?????
  25. If he's getting word he'll be a first round pick, he'll be gone. Hell, I'd go to if i had a chance to make millions. You can always go back to school. Who is NT's highest drafted NBA player?
