  1. I've been there several times. The barbacoa tacos are really good there.
  2. Dodge was an arrogant, horrible college coach, way in over his head. Comparing Mac to Dodge is apples to oranges. Mac still is cleaning up the splatter trail of diahrreah Todd Dodge left around the football program. Mac truely deserves the time to get this thing righted. We can't deny he's at least got it pointed in the right direction. He's just got to get the right parts on it to get moving steady...
  3. You guys don't give Dodge enough credit on how far he single handedly sunk this program. RV deserves some blame for that crap as well. Mac came in saying how he was bigger than most of the kids here, so he understands the level of physical talent we lack. Dodge came in after DD posted consecutive losing seasons. How do you expect the recruiting classes to fare from nearly a decade of futility? Look at what we have playing at QB now and how hard it's been to recruit a decent player there? That alone tells you all you need to know. Mac will need time. This team is still a 5 win team, which is what 90% of this board predicted.
  4. As much as I want to see us "pound some kitty kat", I don't know if our offensive passing attack will be enough to "penetrate" the UH redzone enough times to "feel the climax" of a road victory. UH will load the box and dare DT to throw us to victory. Cougs - 31 Green - 17
  5. He's always played this way. Difference is last year he was given a pass for being "young". No excuses this year. He's not a starting caliber FBS QB. This will be a long year if special teams and the running game can't deliver consistently every single game.
  6. Any word on if DT is still holding onto the starting role???????
  7. Only giving up 14 pts should be good enough for any team to be in it at the end to win. That's all we can ask for at this point. Not going to blame them one bit...
  8. Yep, yep, yep to the post above. D's are loading the box daring DT to beat them throwing. Mac better offer AT LEAST 3 JuCO QBs this offseason. We need one here next year. This was a winnable game lost to sloppy play. So frustrating. What happened to Olen??? I remember seeing him make 40+ yarders last year at a decent rate.
  9. Just as I've said since game 1, DT has picked up right where he left off last year. This team will struggle to hit .500 as long as he's running the O. The kicking game was bad, again, but this team was in it still. Average play at QB would have made a difference tonight....
  10. Diabetes will be cured if we win tonight!
  11. NT - 27 Troy - 13
  12. DD shed a tear tonight. The Buick was bearing down on Old Bill Snyder, Christine style.
  13. Well, you can kill a team in Cover 2 by hitting them in the middle intermediate to middle deep zone. Of course, we all know how the downfield passing game has worked for us. It was a good gameplan tonight, IMO.
  14. The missed extra point was apparently blocked according to JubJub. The kicking game was absolutely pathetic today. ST needs a major a$$ chewing tonight.
  15. I think a conservative gameplan is needed considering the level of play we've witnessed at QB. It worked as DT appeared to play well today, IMO.
  16. Definitely a 180 from last week. I think he'll continue to do well as long as the running game is #1 and he's limited to a short passing game. Not a knock on him, that's just who he is and it appears Chico has gameplanned for that. A very solid performance. Thumbs up DT.
  17. I cant remember the last time I felt like a North Texas team had a shot at beating a good team. The home opener at Tulsa when we had PC & Jamario in the back field to only get spanked, may have been the last time. Special teams play turned this game in KSU's favor. I was really impressed at how the OL & DL played for most of the game. DT was much improved at QB. This team could make some noise in SBc play. I'm hoping the TSU game was just a fluke and not a sign of a team that plays to their opponents level, week to week. Lots to be happy about.
  18. KSU - 52 UNT - 14 Let's just get in & get out without any major injuries...
  19. Was his right arm bigger than his left?
  20. Toilet paper was too soft. Need more of that 300 grit variety to really smooth the rough spots off... .
  21. Everyone forgets because those "amazing" passes are few and far between. DT is going to have to improve tremendously if this team is ever going to get over the .500 mark. I know the season is still young, but to me his play is right where we saw it most of last year. The offense needs better play at QB, period.
  22. I remember him playing this way most of last year. Slow release, average arm, & inaccurate. Yes, I'm not sugar coating it.
  23. Woo Hoo! Hope this works out and this kid meets potential under Canales. Riley was heralded but didn't have the physical tools Burg has. Great pickup!
