Part of coaching is having the ability to get the most out of your players. The ability to motivate & push them to achieve their full potential. None of that happened with TM this year. Look at what the team accomplished the previous year under JJ. They picked up their level of play and were within a few seconds of a NCAA tourney birth. If NT had a winning record, TM would be a 1st round pick today.

For some reason they always rate Chancellor low. His speed should be up in the mid 90's but, if I remember correctly, it was in the 80's last year. I'm definitely intrigued at the BB 79 rating. Can't wait to get it!

It would be a huge loss for UNT. But we all know money talks.

Read other college boards for the mid-majors and you'll see they, too, have defensive issues. Defensive talent, especially depth, is the hardest to recruit for anyone not labeled a big school. If all things improve at the rate we expect, the difference will be QB play, IMO. If BB wins the job running away, we'll see 5-6 wins. Otherwise, I'm going 3-4 wins.

Look fine to me. I like Oregon's uniforms, too. I think UNT's are a little boring. Way better than the Teflon Todd era Southlake crap look, but still the current look is a tad too conservative.

Anyone ever consider DT might be better than the guy Scotty Dotty beat out? BB will be the starter before midseason, IMO.

BB will get over his hamstring and the pressure will be on DT come fall camp. The best players will play come fall, if it's DT, fans must prepare for sphincter lock. Let's not be naive about this, BB came to NT for a reason. The coaches recruited him because they want him to be the QB here. DT's had his time and shown his ability as a bottom rung Sun Belt QB. Of course he'll show improvement next year, but that's expected as a player matures and notches another year in his belt. So are we expecting the rest of the conference to remain stagnant and not improve?? Only DT will? Bottom line, we should want & pray for BB to win the QB spot. It will prove NT has unquestionably upped the play at the position. And I always go back to what Herm Edwards said about him benching Testaverde for a young Chad Pennington. You can't change the whole team, you can't bench the whole team. But making a change at the most important position on the field makes all the difference in the world.

Withey's carried KU in the 2nd half. His shot blocking has been ridiculous, even though he can barely play above the rim. Long arms and great sense of timing for a 6'10" guy, I guess?
