NT plays "big time" college football. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "They're on the same level as (insert power conference school)??". Ok, so maybe we're not on the same level financially, budget wise, or recruiting, but we are a FBS school.

This team wins at home. Mac protects his turf, the road is another story. In any case: UNT - 24 MTS - 23

Agreed, Brelan is a huge loss and a talent not easily replaced. Orr & Trice are big losses as well but I'm fully expecting to see several players step up to help fill the voids on defense.

I don't think losing seniors is going to be as big a deal as some make it out to be. We need to see new blood at key positions if we're ever going to expect change, IMO.

What do these stats really say about the the history of the QB position at NT when DT is damn near the top of all passing categories??

Maybe NT has more passes than runs because they're always playing from behind?

This team plays well at home. I'm still expecting 6 wins. The unnerving part is knowing this team is better than what we saw yesterday.

If you've invested in this team at all by buying tickets, season tickets, or donate to the MGC, then you're entitled to complaining, IMO. Complain on!

So how many bad throws did DT make to open receivers? At least twice on blitzes in the 1st half he should've hit. Later his 1st pick was under thrown & then the pick-6 on a ridiculously thrown screen pass. You have to make those throws. How is that the coaches fault?

So what does that tell you about DT? He should make those throws. He's an FBS starting QB for 3 years. You make them you win.

Tulane was blitzing often on 3rd down, daring DT to beat them passing. They read the book on this offense, play the run 1st, and make them beat you in the air. Sometimes DT plays above it and the team wins, sometimes he plays in their favor and NT loses. I don't blame him solely, but his pick 6, and numerous bad throws in key situations can't be overlooked. Next week he'll probably play like a world beater. This is just how it is...

Offense needs to step up quick. 1st half was absolutely ridiculous. DT had a signature pick 6 during another loss. Special teams seemed to hold up the last few weeks, but mailed it in today. Offense is the glaring issue right now, IMO. Something has to give....
