The goal here is definitely the Liberty Bowl. I remember back in the day this was one I my favorite bowls when AXA sponsored it and it was MWC#1 vs CUSA#1. Loved watching those games as it was the 2 best mid majors in the country facing off. Now, my Mean Green get a shot at playing in this thing. Brings a tear to my eye. HoD would be sweet, too. But the Liberty has more tradition and is more prestigious...

Jubber had another old friend alongside the Junes for the halftime show. This old buddy person hasn't attended a NT football game since he graduated 20+ years ago. Keep winning and stuff like this will continue to happen. Better conference name recognition and the CUsA west leader, wow.

If NT wins a Bowl game this year, I would be forced to say maybe. I'm definitely not in TFLF category waving DT pom poms every week, FYI. I just think a bowl win is a very big accomplishment and wouldn't be possible without decent QB play. How many decent QBs have come through NT?? Not many, IMO...

He's not the most prolific QB, but a decent "bus driver". If Derek doesn't turn the ball over this team will win. I wasn't a supporter at the beginning, but he's done enough to keep my mouth shut the rest of this year. Besides, I would prefer to see DT 10 times out of 10 if McNulty is the backup.

I would love to see this, but I think ND would decline this inviatation. They draw well anywhere and will probably have a handful of bowls to choose from.

At a restaurant this weekend wearing my white SOW hat, when the waiter asked me what Bowl is NT going to. I had to correct him and say we're only bowl eligible and probably wont know until years end. Then asked him to please hurry with my beer and french bread in a snobby SEC-booster like tone. All this winning has really gotten to my head.

For rankings purposes & bowl selection, we should only be rooting for Rice to beat Tulane. It boosts NT's SOS. The best scenario would be for NT & Rice to win out with Tulane only slipping against Rice. It softens the blow on NTs loss to Tulane. Georgia & Ohio need to win out as well.

I went to the last NO Bowl. Had a blast and can't wait to (hopefully) do it again this year.

It was overpromoted. Unorganized mess may be a little strong, but it was disappointing. They didn't seem interested in giving out candy, which should've been priority #1. I won't do it again...

I seem to remember NT getting a couple of votes in the top 25 poll after the NO Bowl win over Cincinnati. That's the last time I can ever remember ever sniffing a vote in the coaches poll.
