Man, I don't know about that. We are all so spoiled by the D winning games for us and they didn't tonight. But that's not to say their play wasn't sufficient to win at home. They only gave up 21pts. You can't expect them to cause 4 turnovers and score a TD every game. The Offense has to win us some games and they haven't played well enough to do that the last few weeks. It's pretty clear, if our D doesn't play like the best D in CUSA, this offense can't do enough to win. Period.

What about shooting mud out the ass end like the offense did all game. I do agree with you but it had to be a hard call considering how bad the O was.

I know it is a CUSA tie in vs Big 10 or Big 12, but isn't there veto power here from a power conference or am I thinking another Bowl?

My only worry, and it's a big one, a loss to a team like UTSA could potentiialy knock us from the HOD Bowl. If we had won out and lost in the CUSA title game, we'd be more appealing to the HOD committee. Now, not so much. Man this stinks.

That and the fake FG were bad calls IMO. If you're going to call a fake on 4th & long in their territory, why not play call for 4 downs instead? Almost seemed like the fake was called on a whim...

I never blamed him 100% for the loss. The passing game was abysmal today. Guess why? The D played good enough to win. What are expecting for them to score TD'severy week and hold the opposing offense to no points???? D played good enough to win this game.

I'm at the game and DT looks really bad. Bad throws all game long. D is playing well but UTSA is doing enough to control the game.

RVs track record on coaching hires is bad. Not only because of the record, but the way in which his hires have turned out disastrous. Mac has done enough to put a blanket over his mistakes. I'm just hoping he doesn't have blinders on and thinks Benford will flip a switch in year 3.

Grew up in DeSoto, played on the same football team with NT favs Detron (DT) Woodson & Randall Harris. I was the starting tackle on Detron's & Randall's team. I applied and was accepted to Syracuse, but wanted to play ball. In any case, after 2 years of Varsity football at DeSoto, I ended up at Trinity San Antonio even after my OL coach told me to just walk on at NT. He was right, I hated it at Trinity. Small time football BLOWS after being exposed to Texas' big time 5A ball. Pissed off my parents by quitting because I was giving up an almost free education. Transferred to SMU (someone should've slapped me) but never attended as cost was a big factor. Went to a Dallas County CC and got a degree in Electronics then applied to UNT to finish my studies. Got my BS in Economics at North Texas and the rest is history. Along the way, the NT football team was dominating the SBC and I went to the last NO Bowl. My NT love was locked in for life by then. I convinced my brother, who played football at Navy, to transfer there once he decided he wanted to leave Maryland. He gave up football to focus on his studies after transferring. It worked out as he met his wife at North Texas. I'm an alum, my brother & his wife are alums, and I have 2 cousins trying to send their kids to NT after this year. The four SBC championships sucked me in to NT football. Winning now will help bring new fans (obviously) like it did me...

EA is out, but I'm hoping the 2kSports group tries to get their hands into the football realm with a college title. They've pretty much annihilated EA's NBA Live series with their superior NBA 2K franchise. With the upcoming FBS playoffs, there's just too much money to be made, IMO. They can get away with it with random players and allow users to freely pass edited rosters online like EA does in the current NCAA series. This isn't the last of college football gaming...

A slow start after the bye week is the only thing I can see that would warrant any type of worry. NT will handle UTSA much like it did UTEP & USM.
