This didn't happen back in the day. Big schools recruited kids just for the sake of keeping them out of rival school rosters. With 100 scholarship rosters probably on the horizon, this is going to happen all over again. I think we're heading back to the way college football was well before the 80's where only 10-15 schools controlled the landscape.

The salaries of coaches like Mack brown & Nick Saban brought this on. These guys were making damn near $10mil a year. How ridiculous is that compared to the kids they are riding to their own pay days. And before anyone opens their mouth, NO. the cost of a college education fails in comparison to what these guys were collecting, annually.

G5's need to come together and give the P5's the finger. Renegotiate TV contracts and setup their own National Championship. Then proclaim to the world the G5 champion is the true college National Champion, not the NFL Minor League the P5's have become. We all know this would be a Dog & Pony Show but it would piss the P5's off and keep the G5's in the national spotlight. The G5 gameplan should be to be the condescending A-Hole Douchebag to the P5's. Turn the knob up WWE style. Parlay that into a G5 vs P5 matchup or something.

I've been saying Lil' Mac will be the starter since the end of last season. The writing's on the wall. Mac wants a QB to stay 100% within his system and minimize mistakes. Experience is the biggest factor for a Mac guy, IMO. Who of the 3 QBs has the most time in it? Yep, you guessed it...

Most people will see the record and think NT basketball improved this year. With this and the bowl win, RV isn't even close to being on the hot seat. Benford will be back the year after if NT goes at least .500 next year, IMO.

I'm a UT hater like many in here. The Horns returns most of their defense. They have as big a question mark as NT does at QB. NT lost many seniors, a leader at QB, and a game breaker in Chancellor. The game is in Austin and they will not be a sloppy Mac Briwn team, IMO. It's going to be an extreme uphill battle for NT to get a win. Very possible if the D can stop the run, make their young QB beat us, and our special teams makes some huge plays. All possible, but very difficult to do. Strong's team won't be giving up BYU like rushing numbers. Depth is what separates the power schools from the have-nots. I truly expect our guys to play hard and put up a Georgia game like performance.
