Hold this thought until after the IU game. If the offense outperforms the crap we've seen the 1st 3 weeks, we should question the reasoning to start Greer over DW.

This is what we all wanted, so it's time to buckle up and hang on. We've all seen the superior talent he possesses(McCarney said it and DW almost beat out DT last year) compared to the others. There will be growing pains, but i'm ready to move on and let thsi season ride out with DW at the helm.

I know it's mop up duty, but it's definitely noticeable on how DW has command over the pocket and just flat out looks more comfortable back there. Of course, it is a highlight reel, so his "negative" plays aren't in here...

I think that's the point. We know what the running game can do. Flip the script and run 90% pass plays. QB pass reps are needed...

Some guys were in my seats when I finally made it. Scrappy didn't make it up into the stands. Concessions ran out of large North Texas cups and forced me to buy a white coke cup. How in the hell do you run out of UNT cups????!!!!

I've posted this here a few times. I always go back to what Herm Edwards said when he was coaching the Jets in '02. His teams season was on the verge of going under, his offense was not performing well, & defense was starting to struggle. What did he do? He benched seasoned vet Testaverde for a young unknown in Pennington. Why? He said he couldn't bench the entire team, but knew if he made a change at the most important position on the field, it might be enough to change the entire season. Jets ended up going 8-3 with him, made the playoffs, and won in wildcard weekend...

Don't expect disappointment, but keep reality in check.

What are the off field issues? He's got to tend to a sick infant and missed practice? He's not sitting in Coach Mac's office with his coffee ready at 6am like the other "students of the game"? My point is we don't know what they are.....

It might work. I was in the student section the year Woody Wilson transferred here. We all started chanting Woody and DD eventually out him in. I heard later on, people listening on the radio could here is all loud & clear. Did the Ol' Buick buckle under pressure from the students? Hard to tell, I guess....

Answer these questions before any of us attempts to give an answer: How many trips to the beer line did you make? More specifically, your beer intake vs Greer completions, ratio? Which was higher?

Greer's NCAA QB Rating is 68.7. To give you some perspective, in the NFL, his rating would be a 39.6.

Cerebus' plan is spot on. This season is not lost at this point, but we've gotten the wake up call to make the change now. You have to go all in now. DW's preparation for the rest of conference play should start against Nichols.
