RADIO DISCUSSION
Got5onIt replied to THOR's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I listen to the ticket in the mornings only (Musers). Every now and then I'll listen to Norm or Bad Radio. I have never been able to listen to the Hardline, ever. Even with their lineup change from a few years ago, it's still a show I just flat out dislike. Like MeanGreenTexan stated, 94.5 is a great station. Love me some old school rap/hip hop/ & r&b. -
This is good to know. At least he read it....

Never held me back and has helped me in my career. Everytime I say I'm going to bandwagon this year, I see a T-Shirt Horn fan that helps me think twice and stay 100% dedicated to the green. I do root for Syracuse just because I did get accepted there right out of high school and had plans to go to NY for school...

Having extensive knowledge of a game/sport doesn't mean you'll be a great coach. Coaching isn't for everyone. Hell, even being a head coach vs being an assistant requires different skills/abilities.

Basketball is a mess right now, on both fronts. Did Wake Forest fire Peterson? -
I had some grey goose last night and ate pizza.

Minium: UAB's decision could mean 13-team league
Got5onIt replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
I worked in Austin the last 2 years and I never once heard anyone mention anything about Texas State. All I ever heard about was UT. No one gave two $hits about Texas State there. I say CUSA needs to add stAte and be done with it. -
C'mon NT, you have to at least grab 1 starter from UAB!!

Highlights looked good, which is no surprise being a highlight reel. The biggest news here, IMO, is the fact Mac signed a QB under 6'3". He supposedly wouldn't touch a prospect at QB unless he was a minimum 6'3". Desperate times call for desperate measures or has he truly turned over a new leaf to open up the talent pool?
-
Very intriguing news. Looking forward to seeing the young man compete for the starting job.... They guy is listed at 6'1". Maybe Mac has turned over a new leaf regarding QB requirements? Nice pickup, IMO. Lots of potential. Was KState offering him as well? Just read some interesting comments on twitter. Hoosiers were also recruiting him, according to another article..... So does this mean the thought Greer never seeing the field here again (Mac's eternal doghouse) and DW transferring out may indeed become reality?
-
Hire a young coordinator that can recruit and have some awareness of what's going on among today's youth.

I had to go look this up and it ain't pretty. Anyone with a gun in their hand, may want to put it away: NT has had 4 winning seasons in the last 20 years, only 1 winning season the last decade. The 4 winning seasons, all under RV's watch. I'm not advocating one way or another, just take that for what it's worth. NT has zero football respect because they've pretty much earned zero football respect. No wonder our own alum, Texas high school coaches, & high school players laugh at our program. I'm amazed we haven't gone the way of UAB.....

I was on campus the last few NO Bowls. Loved going to NO! Winning brought much needed positive attention to the university. Dr.Pohl knew this better than anyone....

An off the wall question for the off season
Got5onIt replied to casual fan's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't think ND has any incentive to change anything or share any money. They already get special treatment written into any rules or ranking systems and have a lucrative TV deal with NBC. -

I like this idea. Give the P5's the finger and say we're going to compete with you directly with our own rules. If it's successful enough, maybe the new league can match the P5 in popularity & talent after 10 years or so.... -
An off the wall question for the off season
Got5onIt replied to casual fan's topic in Mean Green Football
If the G5 could break away and do this, they would need to pitch something to the public that's just enough to differentiate the league but also makes the public want to watch/support it. Kind of an ABA & AFL vs NBA & NFL back in the day. The leagues had differences that appealed enough to all fans. Question is, what does the G5 have the P5's do not??? -
An off the wall question for the off season

I don't think its possible. State governments are full of P5 alum and there's no way they'll allow the little guy to blossom over their own state institutions..... -
UNLV following in UNT's 2006 footsteps
Got5onIt replied to MeanGreenTexan's topic in Mean Green Football
I feel sorry for Rebels fans. The next 3 years will be really tough for them. Start taking notes for potential head coaches now.... -
It's a toss up when you have all those teams sitting with just one loss. Think of the negative effect the B12 put forth by awarding a co-championship. How sleazy is that? The panel didn't buy it. Baylor's OOC schedule did them in and TCU's loss to Baylor plus cheap championship award didn't help them. When OSU destroyed Wisky in the title game, the panel didn't even blink when they put OSU in....

Did not having a conference championship game hurt the B12?
