I love Fury Road! It's my favorite movie of the year so far. I was talking more about the Superhero genre when I was referring to AntMan as the surprise of the summer....

Someone was babied a little too much growing up? This is what we call hazing nowadays?

Both of these trailers look great. DC definitely has a different feel for their movies. Don't get too caught up in the hype over Batman vs Superman just yet. Zach Snyder is still the director and his Man of Steel flick was just a flat out heartless, mess. Age of Ultron wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as we all expected. The Avengers blew the general audience away and I think we were all expecting AoU to do the same. Joss Whedon did a decent job with the 1st two films. However, I am looking forward to the Russo Bros taking over the Avengers Infinity War movies. The Winter Soldier was a great film and I fully expect Civil War to be just as good. Ant Man was a very good movie. It currently holds an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Definitely, the surprise of the summer, IMO.

Hey, I would show up for free Popeye's.

If McNulty makes the grade will you step down?

Kind of, because it's usually whole cucumbers in the rear then a douse of ammonia in each eyeball..... -

This definitely hurts. Good luck to him.

This is about as accurate as one can get. Let's hope DSmith wins the QB job easily in fall camp....

Someone has to have some inside info on what to expect? Rumors anyone? Chrome green helmets? Black pants?

The Buick's tenure is where my fandom started. He'll always hold a special place in my UNT heart. I still like Mac for the HoD win but voted for DD....

We're in the hotbed of football, baseball, & basketball talent. In my heart, I still believe the right leadership can turn this program into a consistent winner. We'll never be OU or UT, but we sure as hell can be better than what we've seen the last 10 years. Either that or I'm truly insane for really believing this....

I agree with the below average comment of this post. Not so much with the recruits getting better & the time to build a program. I think we're way beyond that point. Mac has advantages the Dickster & Teflon Todd didn't have, yet has only produced 1 winning season. Mac's best offensive players were Teflon Todd's recruits. Mac's best defense is still behind the Dickster's best Booger led unit. In his 5th year, this program is staring right down the barrel of a loaded gun to another below .500 season. Not acceptable at this point in his tenure, IMO.

2015 college football preseason rankings (No. 114) UNT
Got5onIt replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
A little while back, someone posted NT's football record for the last 30 years. Very, very depressing. Seems like status quo going on around here in present day. :(- 13 replies

If McNulty makes the grade will you step down?
Got5onIt replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
There is no physical comparison between DT & AM. DT looked like a legitimate college QB on the field. AM does not. You'll never convince me he's got FBS talent. Yeah, I know I'm arm chairin' it, but I've been around enough football in my lifetime to trust me eyes. Reality is, McNulty will be on a leash so short, Mac won't even need a headset to talk to him from the sideline. There is a reason they've taken a chance on JuCo QBs 2 years in a row. As as for the original question, yes I would support AM and get off the dog pile if he miraculously comes out lighting it up. -
All I'm going to say is you won't know unless you try. Offering may have worked. However, I highly doubt this kid would've stayed with his commitment considering the type of offense and record this program has when compared to a program like OSU. It's just the reality here. Juco players usually have less eligibility remaining and want to play now. These are the types of players NT has a legitimate shot at "stealing" from bigger, more prestigious programs.

Wife and kids were there. Enjoyed it!

UNT quarterback breakdown: McNulty in position to hang on to job
Got5onIt replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Smith started and put up really good numbers at his JUCO last year. Brock's last significant game time contribution after bouncing around for 2 years and arriving at UNT was in high school. I fully expect Smith to come in and win the starting job going away..... -
I won't make a prediction until DSmith gets through fall camp. :)
-
Disappointed that at this point in Mac's tenure we're hoping for .500. But it is what it is. If this motivates the program, then why not use it again? :(
-
It sure as hell wasn't and won't be SMU during this millennium.

DRC NT gets QB LOI on Woody Wilson rec'd
Got5onIt replied to OldTimer's topic in Mean Green Football
Teflon Todd forced him to move to Safety. He transferred out shortly thereafter.... -
The unknown that is Demarcus Smith gives me hope. Hope he'll come in here, take charge of the offense, and lead them to good production. Otherwise, it's the same ol' same ol' where we have to hope the defense develops into the top unit in CUSA in order to win games.
-
I hope you are right.

What other teams do you like besides UNT?
Got5onIt replied to untjim1995's topic in Mean Green Football
Syracuse -> Applied and was accepted there right out of High School. Cheer for them when I can. Texas Tech -> Wanted to go there as a kid. Aunt lived in Lubbock and always talked Tech up. Navy -> Brother was a Middie. Played football there. Michigan & USC -> Hated Notre Dame as a kid because of my best friend being such a Golden Domes fan. Naturally, I gravitated towards the Wolverines & Trojans to counter his fandom. -
Mad Max: Fury Road
Got5onIt replied to Cerebus's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I did read toe cutter & immortan joe were the same actor. I never would've guessed it. As as for the homoerotica, I guess it's George miller's way of saying anything goes in post apocalyptic society? It definitely doesn't take anything away from any of the movies, just an interesting topic worth noting. We will all enter Valhalla shiny and chrome!!!!- 4 replies
