It was Manny and his rasslin fan friend Nacho Libre. I seriously doubt anybody else came just because of the rasslin match.

I haven't seen the guest list, but I bet it would include Jason Pertle after the monster game that garnered him CUSA Offensive Player of the Week.

A&M played at Michigan several decades ago and did not bring their band. The Michigan band formed the outline of Texas with the ATM in the middle and enthusiastically played the Aggie fight song. It was pure greatness as a sign of respect between two incredible schools. I would love for the Brigade to play the visitors Alma Mater pregame to the visitors section when they don't bring their band. It's a lot of music to learn, but it does make an impression on our guests. (then we can scare the hell out of them with the cannon blast) 😉

There are some North Texas side tickets for sale for fairly cheap on: https://www.markstickets.com/tickets/gerald-j-ford-stadium/t3891296/southern-methodist-smu-mustangs-vs-north-texas-mean-green-tickets

for Evan, Tensile Ten One of the striking visual elements in the union was the fiber art that hung on the wall in the main indoor courtyard. The work, Tensile Ten, was the creation of artist Francoise Grossen. It combined over 1,500 pounds of rope. The sculpture was built using one over hand knot as the only structural element to create the 30 feet by 16 foot fiber work. It was named Tensile Ten because there were five points at the top and five at the bottom where the artwork was attached to the wall of the Union.

Loved the Brigade on Saturday, great performance all day.

“Hey, I know we're all in strung out shape but stay frosty and alert.” Stay Frosty my Friend. The all white uniforms are greatness. .

What is Reen Fo, some kind of noodle dish?

Show started, as best I remember in 1983 as Corky's Corner in the Rock Bottom Lounge (with free beer) in the basement of the old Union and was always hosted by Bill Mercer. It was several years later that George Dunham and Craig Miller took over, and that was at a place called TJ's Sandwich Shop on Eagle & Bernard. Then Dunham hosted it for many years at the Sheraton/Radisson, Texas Pick Up, Tia's, El Guapo's, Hooters, Sweetwater Grill, and finally Rudy's by the start of McCarney's tenure. Hank and George have been doing the shows together since the mid 90's and Dave Barnett joined Hank a few years ago. I have witnessed what started out as one coach, one host, one school reporter, and often one fan (me) gradually turn into what must be one of the better, and most professional, coach's shows in the country. I also don't think my frustration was too veiled when the only promotion for this season's shows was "somewhere out there in the twitterverse" ***Oh, and I still wish they'd do post-game shows from the Alumni Pavilion. This is a HUGE missed opportunity every week.***

Then, dammit, rehire and fire Johnny Jones! All else aside, us 44, them 31.

Because of the revised NCAA rules, a player can play in up to four games and still have it count as a redshirt year. This revision started this past season.

Nothing on MeanGreenSports.com this season, only last year's show schedule. Nothing scheduled on the KNTU web site. Reference to the last November 2018 show, then nothing. Stopped by Rudy's on Saturday and the employee said he hadn't heard anything about this season's shows. It's game week and there is nothing to indicate when and where the Coach Littrell Shows are scheduled. Can anyone confirm if the shows have been cancelled? .

Bingo! Wren is building a fan base the correct way. Grabbing the easy money from continually scheduling bodybag games is for athletic departments that either can't manage effectively.or they simply refuse to work.

Their "pooft cannon"? Come and Take It, seriously, COME AND TAKE IT! .............It'll be next to the curb! Oooh! Check it out! I got a Ray Vote! I think its my first one ever!

I didn't like losing the Army series, but I do think that Wren Baker is doing an outstanding job with scheduling. I hated the days of being cannon fodder for the power programs, and feel sorry for the UTSA fans as their program is quickly sinking to that level.

Efforts to counter-act "Mother F'in Eagles"
ADLER replied to Christopher Walker's topic in Mean Green Football
Texas does the "Give 'em Hell, Give 'em Hell, Make 'em eat S#it!" During their Texas-Fight song, and the Aggise have always sang the same song as "Texas Bites, Texas Bites, Jump up and Bite my A$$!" It's nothing unique for college students to chant inappropriate language, but that's still not an excuse. On a similar note, I have heard many times our alma mater sung as "Down the Corridor of Years, we'll Drink lots and lots of Beers....." Old joke, but I still chuckle. -

This became so bad during the McCarney regime that he had to put in McNulty to keep the fight song from being played. *I just noticed I received a down vote.I'm sorry Andrew.- 104 replies

Do these transfers count only against the 85 FBS scholarship limit, or do they also count as the annual 25 signee limit? In other words, would a school theoretically be able to sign only grad transfers, and lots of them, every year as long as the school stays at or below the 85 scholarship limit?
-
Would he even have had to take Spring classes since he graduated in December? Couldn't he just train for the NFL all spring, then enroll this week for Fall Semester grad classes even if he has no real intentions of attending them. This scenario may eliminate him from being eligible for a bowl game but he sure would be better prepared for the NFL draft and training camp. Either way, I wish we had him back for this season. Great kid and I loved his enthusiasm; and I will always remember his hyper celebration ramble after the 2017 UTSA game.

Its accurate that more North Texas fans attend the La Tech games than Rice or either of the border twins. I don't think the interest is on par with the SMU series or what it will be for Houston.
-
Tech will be fine. Mason Narcisse is a solid 3* player (247 .8199) but not one of the higher listed La Tech recruits. Committing to Tulane makes sense since he's from the New Orleans suburb of La Place.
