  1. True. Hit 6 or Hit 7 may get us Frisco, but we have to win at least two of the next three to even be considered.
  2. Heck yes! I'd take Frisco in a heartbeat! It's right in the middle of our fanbase. It would be Mean Green and Loud!
  3. We're getting there, and the future looks quite bright. Apogee would be packed beyond capacity if we were having the kind of season we expected this year. Things happened, I understand that, but our situation keeps getting better every year.
  4. Oklahoma State looked like they'd have a spot with Tylan Wallace leaving early for the NFL. Wallace tore his ACL last week in practice and will have surgery and now likely return to OSU for next season.
  5. This may not be Tech's best team in decades but it is still a pretty strong team, easily capable of winning CUSA West and hosting the CUSA Championship Game. Their only loss was to Texas and they put up a pretty good fight even in that game. North Texas has shown to be consistently inconsistent. Injured star performers, horrifically low gain average on first down, and a defense that well...let's not go there. Tech has the ability to get an early lead and ride a 2 or three score margin to victory. This will likely be the most boring game of the season for both teams. La Tech : 42 North Texas : a couple touchdowns less
  6. 23,548 tickets sold and an exceptionally large crowd for what was a 3-5 G5 team. This was accomplished without the huge ticket giveaways practiced by other schools. There are very few G5 schools that have this strong of a following. Attendance will probably dip considerably for the Saturday game after Thanksgiving like it does for almost all G5 schools hosting that weekend. Walk-up buying will be nil. Other than continue winning (which is a Goal, NOT a Plan, sad that this needs to be explained to some people), what can be done to entice students to come back for the UAB game? Food? Beer? Entertainment? All of the above? One of my favorite promotions for games like these is Free Matching Tickets mailed to every season ticket holder. These still count towards paid attendance because they are making the purchase bundle at 50% discount (under 50% pricing doesn't count towards paid attendance). Our season ticket holders are the people that believe most strongly in the value of our product and therefore are our best salespeople, especially when they are are able to recruit friends and potential future ticket buyers. This little prize in the Cracker Jacks would be a nice reward for the loyal customers, and if nothing else, it boosts the 'tickets sold' figure. If done, just make sure the tickets are Mailed, or Emailed to all season ticket holders. The Pick-Up at Will Call was tried several years ago with disastrous results.
  7. James Mitchell has committed to Colorado State. He currently has a three star 0.8416 rating from 247. What's disturbing about this is that Colorado State's top two rated recruits, Mitchell and Casey Irons, both defensive linemen from north Texas, recruited and offered by North Texas, have both chosen to leave home instead and move to frozen Fort Collins, Colorado.
  8. Marcus Moore is currently one of the Texas stat leaders with 13 sacks and 17 QB hurries. His home town is close enough to Denton that his friends and family should never miss his games at Apogee.
  9. And don't forget that Darden was a high school quarterback. Not only is he going to keep getting better as a receiver, but he's also a threat to throw the ball from those "Jet sweeps, reverses, etc....".
  10. Shouldn't they be practicing basketball? GESS
  11. He's a badass. I predict he'll be transferring to North Texas in January of 2023. .
  12. North Texas and the Euless Trinity Tongan Community
  13. Or BOTH on it. Scrappy with Unlucky

  15. Keep the faith guys. It's always darkest right before the dawn, and it's been black as night, black as coal. There are still several games to play, not just for us but also for the other teams that stand in the way of our goals. Undefeated from this point on and we're right back in the CUSA-West hunt, and we'll remain bowl eligible with one loss. This obviously cannot be the kind of season that we desired, but it can still be a lot of fun, especially if we earn an invitation to a local bowl. GMG!
  16. Tonight for the Homecoming Bonfire: Clear, with a low around 37. South southeast wind 5 mph. Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 58. North wind around 10 mph.
  17. I don't think it's possible. Has any team ever lost games to two Danas in the same season? Has any team ever lost two games in a row to pickers? No. No. And no, we're not gonna lose to UTEP. But, as I stated earlier, the victory is wasted if we are not using it to prepare for future games.
  18. We will win, easily, but that's no accomplishment, and certainly nothing to brag about. The whole purpose of this game is to prepare for the remainder of this season. This contest was a waste of time if that's not done.
  19. That was the same officiating crew that intentionally threw the Tulane game. There was no chance in Hades that they were going to make any call against Rice. I guarantee you that they would have thrown another pass interference flag if the Rice quarterback had thrown that ball anywhere near the end zone.
  20. It was exactly 6 years ago today: October 31, 2013
  21. There is a proper place for the Dumpster Fire Gray uniforms.
  22. I refuse to let hapless UTEP be the barometer for how well this team's leadership can perform. UTEP loses to everything, and even armadillos have a better record on the road. With two weeks to prepare for La Tech, including a scrimmage toying with UTEP, that will be the game that shows how our leadership faces a challenge.
  23. the half price ticket promo has ended tickets are still pretty cheap at the game AT SATURDAY, 11/9/2019 3:00 Joe Aillet Stadium Ruston, Louisiana
  24. We won IN SPITE OF the Squirrel Of Bad Luck, and barely won at that.
