  1. Wayne Jones has entered the transfer portal. Jones career numbers in purple included 93 tackles, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, two passes defended, and two fumble recoveries over a span of 36 games played. Rated as a three-star signee out of Owasso, Okla. in Bill Snyder's 2018 signing class, Jones chose K-State over finalists Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State, and Oklahoma State. His .8532 composite score made him the fourth highest signee and the safety enrolled early with the Wildcats. Has started games at both Safety (13) and Linebacker (3) during separate seasons. Two years eligibility remaining. WAYNE JONES III Twitter - North Texas offer
  2. Heck yes, bring this kid in! Kid had a monster season, started as a freshman, and would probably love to return closer to his family and friends in Keller.
  3. Wow, these two guys sure enjoy saying the word "like". It was as if they were reading the script from Valley Girl. Like, you know, like really? Yeah. like, totally, It was so, like, like you know.... like for sure.
  4. Why is this in Basketball Recruiting?
  5. The Frisco Bowl would be excellent for North Texas regardless of the opponent. And yes, North Texas will quickly sell out that stadium.
  6. 210 on each side ... 420 total.
  7. We may know within hours/days if Graham is available to come home as our offensive coordinator. Lincoln Riley has already picked a new defensive coordinator.
  8. I saw these North Texas shirts for sale at the union store.
  9. X 1,000,000 They've served their purpose, they've run their course, that ship has sailed, Alice doesn't live here any more. 19710 individual yesterday's news. Please dispose of them by any necessary means.
  10. As a response, Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey set to step down While we're speaking of Dorsey, What's brown and sounds like a bell? ............ Dung!
  11. North Texas always seems to win when wearing our Green and White uniforms. Horrible luck in everything else.
  12. The Frisco Bowl probably has a financial incentive to sell tickets this year since the game was cancelled last year due to Covid at SMU after the participating teams were announced. Air travel is still tedious. I would think North Texas would be the natural selection to sell out their facility. We, as fans, need to start doing everything possible to let the Frisco Bowl people know that we want to play in their game. https://thefriscobowl.com/ Fans can purchase tickets at www.thefriscobowl.com/tickets Frisco, TX – In its fifth year at Toyota Stadium, the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl will showcase two teams from the following conferences: American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West Conference, or the Sun Belt Conference. 13. 15. I think Wren's position is that he evaluates every single one of his coaches after the end of their season. Has anyone known him to waver on this? I believe Wren is brilliant in his capacity as Athletic Director, and he certainly has more riding on this than any of us. I'll support Wren's conclusion 100% with whatever he decides.
  16. Yeah, I think that Adler guy would just like to see Aune come back next year.
  17. He doesn't need football, he's only in it for fun. He's married. he's graduated, he's financially set from six years with the Yankees, and he'll be a Daddy. He'll also be a national story when he scores next year as the oldest player to score in FBS. Quite simply, his story would be the stuff of legends. He'd be crazy to pass up that opportunity. He could, but he hasn't shown a lot of quit to this point.
  18. Said on the post-game radio show that he plans to be back for next year. He has no real reason to risk injury, but his first score next season will make him the oldest player to ever score in FBS football. I think that's enough of an incentive even if he spends most of his time coaching and carrying a clipboard. He's a hell of a team player and I can't see him passing up these opportunities. He has the rest of his life for old people stuff.
  19. ESPN's take on UNT ***ESPN's take, not mine*** Seth has a 23.3% chance of saving his job. They say he's gone if he loses, and UTSA is favored at 76.7% winning percentage. I personally believe that there is much more that factors into the equation. .
  20. Well, the Lashlee led 2018 offense at SMU was able to garner several first downs against North Texas, all in the fourth quarter and when already losing by 34, but they did get a few first downs.
  21. High School: Two-year letter winner in football and three-year letter winner in track at Paris High School... Played both quarterback and safety in high school... Recorded 28 touchdowns, 1,568 yards rushing and 986 yards passing on offense and 107 tackles, eight pass breakups, two interceptions, four tackles for loss and a forced fumble on defense... Was named All-District and was a team captain... Was a member of the National Honor Society... Team won the District, Bi-District and Area Championships. Personal: Son of Da’on Savage and Stacey Moore... Born Feb. 12, 2001.
  22. What is his record against North Texas?
  23. I think fans are exhausted of seasons of building, potential, just wait til next years. 1/5 of teams finish in the top 25 each season, and something like 40 win bowl games. Those figures haven't seemed to include us.
  24. According to ESPN the North Texas/ UTSA game was somehow narrowly edged out by Ohio State/Michigan. Too bad. It would have been fun to watch Lee Corso put on the Scrappy head right up there on The Hilltop in Highland Park. (and yes, you're correct, there is a suburb in Dallas County named after it.)
