Hopefully he can make the most of it.

Would anybody HAVE to go if we added one? Bringing in Graham just might save everybody's jobs.

I like this post off the UMASS message board yesterday: Right now I'd be thrilled if we could sign Grant to a 50 year contract.

Did you just push Deepgreen into the Transferer Portal? Forget Dr Pepper, tell him we'll take him back if he brings beer.

I just bought tickets to Frisco bowl online
ADLER replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Football
Ooh, that's right, red seats. Wren's gonna need at least 30,000 pom-poms to offset this. Miami-O has already announced that they will have red pom-poms and plastic megaphones for their fans. -
Mean Green Fan Fest (Official UNT Alumni Bowl Game Activities)
ADLER replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
Thank you so much for putting this together. Can we tailgate in Frisco? Are there glass container restrictions? Are we able to have open containers on the sidewalks outside The Green Gator? It sounds like the establishment may be making a commitment to an awful lot of people, and to a lot of North Texas fans as well. Are seating reservations available at the Green Gator? The Miami site seems to indicate there are. Thanks. I'll hang up and listen. -
Construction starts Monday, December 13. The already congested North Texas Boulevard will be reduced to one lane each way from I-35 to Oak St. Additional road work may also be performed around Apogee this upcoming summer and fall. https://www.ntdaily.com/on-campus-road-construction-to-begin-in-december-with-potential-future-projects-in-summer-2022/ What can be done to get fans to start showing up early at sports events to help alleviate the imminent traffic headaches?

Teams' Pregame Activities for Frisco Classic?
ADLER replied to Greenrex's topic in Mean Green Football
The Green Brigade is one of, if not the best, college band in the nation. The quality doesn't just come from the size of the band, over 400, but from the musical accomplishment of its participants. North Texas has a large and renowned music school and many of those exceptional students are in our band. I have seen most of the Big 10, Big 12, and SEC school bands and nobody comes close musically, although I do love some of the Ohio St comedy routines and the SEC baton twirler performances. -
We've bought just about everything that they have released. I know they were reserving tickets for the Miami Band in case they were making the trip (which is now confirmed that they ARE), but the FRISCO CLASSIC needs to start making more tickets available. For this to be a success North Texas needs to be able to send out mass-emails and texts showing real availability of tickets.

Purdue vs. Nova!
ADLER replied to greenminer's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I remember one time last year when we had an uncharacteristically bad shooting night against 'Nova. It cost us the game. -
VT Makes Their Choice

I don't see it as a step up, maybe only a new coach that has a clean slate with their university. Time will tell. -
True, sounds like a Stark change of scenery.

AccuWeather Forecast for December 23 - Perfect Weather
ADLER replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Football
Oh, I don't doubt that the forecast is little more than averages, but it still looks like it will be great Green Sweatshirt weather. People should want to prepare so that they're not getting stuck wearing a "bad luck color" like gray or black. -
It was a pretty profound statement Joe. It's like all the people that say the way to get better is to WIN!

Should QB's be allowed to "fake" a slide?

Theirs is an indoor practice field, the walls look really close around the edges but it's still pretty nice. SMU has a "partial indoor practice field" with a low ceiling, much like many of the local high schools and middle schools. .

Should QB's be allowed to "fake" a slide?
ADLER replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
By the current NCAA rules the quarterback is down at the spot where he initiates a slide. It is like making a fair catch signal. He cannot advance the ball further nor decide not to continue the slide. The rule is for his own protection. In this case the officiating crew simply blew the call. -
From Va Tech Board: Justin Fuente thoughts
ADLER replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
It'd be nice if your title reflected that any hate was coming from Virginia Tech. And even then I would suspect that very few people there actually hate him. When you look at who the played, how well they played, and what they were facing with injuries, It can be argued that Virginia Tech played pretty well this season outside of the upsets to Boston College. Syracuse, and the Pitt game. -
Well said. Excellent post.

I have to agree. This kid has played every one of his cards right. Now he just needs to find somewhere where he is guaranteed to remain the starter even if he has a bad game. Patrick Mahomes has been on twitter stating that Ewers has all the tools to play on Sundays. He just needs to go somewhere that he'll be playing immediately. I think the speculation about UT is absurd, the horns recruit top quarterbacks every year but then bench them for a younger guy the next season. This happens every year in Austin, Norman, College Station, Waco, and Lubbock with so many college careers being wasted as the new freshman Wonderboy always replaces the incumbent.
