Grant has clearly proven his abilities. Mirror the ten year contract that UTSA gave to Jeff Traylor. ... and of course add in the $30 Billion as a signing bonus.

Mark Followill ✔@MFollowill Another win for North Texas today, 67-44 at Rice. Should jump over Texas and move to the #1 spot among the 350 teams in Division I in scoring defense, allowing 55.5 ppg. 18-4 and a 10 game winning streak after the victory in Houston today! #GMG

Actually, that embarrassing 2006 loss to 1A move-up FAU was not our first time for the Mean Green to have horrible fortune when wearing black. In 1982 Corky was finally ridding the school of the ultra-groovy outdated leisure suit flying worm uniforms and the team wore cheap black replacements ... and of course subsequently lost at home to a Division II Northeast Louisiana 15-38. The loss was instrumental in the NCAA forcing North Texas down to Div-1A football for the 1983 season and it took us over a decade to get out and another decade to recover. The black uniforms have always been bad luck for us. Please downvote if you enjoy our program being relegated down to 1AA status. We almost wound up dropping football entirely because of disinterest during the 1AA era. .

I have opinions on uniforms and colors we shouldn't wear, but I'd prefer to ignore a problem and hope it goes away by itself before 2022 uniforms get ordered this spring. .
-
There is a time and place for varieties of fashion color choices in life, but that, in itself would imply a lack of uniformity. If it's Game Day, then it's Green and White.
-
I seriously don't think we have signed or retained any players solely because we have the trashy multicolored non-traditional uniforms. Never let anybody monkey with our school colors.
-
All true. We need to consistently place the same logo on our helmets to create an identity for our university. For jerseys, traditionally the school name is on road jerseys and team name on home. That's the rule across all sports in America although it's not necessarily adhered to.
-
So true, the color intensity on those uniforms was too pastel. Would you agree there's no way to tell who we were playing that day since we can't see the their school name or logos? That's right. Everyone instantly knows it's LSU because they wear their school colors and their fans are all wearing attire in their school colors.

We had put people in charge of selecting uniforms that should never have been put in charge of selecting uniforms. We had put people in charge of selecting attire for coaches and sideline staff that should never have been put in charge of selecting attire for coaches and sideline staff. We wound up with a mixed hodgepodge of crap outfits and throwback costumes which hardly count as uniforms. I think that Joe Burrow says "rachet" only because he thinks we have allowed some tool to make these important decisions for our university, especially with adding weird "fashion" colors that just don't belong. Green and White are the ONLY two colors that have ever been approved to represent our university. Our uniforms should reflect that accordingly. .

I love it.

And, how do the Talons play into all of this?
-
Yeah, well we're cool, and those other guys aren't... Splitters!

Yet his work ethic is even larger. He plays his heart out every single game. I am shocked how well conditioned Thomas and the rest of this team is. Fatigue never seems to be a factor. I know they must be exhausted at times but it doesn't show.

See everybody, there's the exception that proves the rule. And BEAT UTEP!

I'm not trying to curb your enthusiasm MG22. It's just that so many of us have been pleading with Voertman's to actually care for the last 40 years and have always been met with the same results. Nothing. Effort does matter and Voertman's has a long established history not giving a rat's tail.

Popular shirt for obvious reasons...not just a cheap printed white undershirt billed as "throwback". Rally House has these at their central warehouse but has sold out at their area stores. https://www.rallyhouse.com/Nike-North-Texas-Mean-Green-Green-Core-Basketball-Short-Sleeve-T-Shirt-19862328?gclid=Cj0KCQiAgP6PBhDmARIsAPWMq6nBXpE_kFVXIZ9RxmbMjuh_OhX2kw7dpS2RjoNkC4gthjr7sOq2olIaAsf4EALw_wcB

For a FAIR AND UNBIASED COMPARISON, please compare the merchandise at the Marshall University Bookstore. PLEASE VIEW ALL FOUR PAGES https://www.bkstr.com/marshallstore/search/keyword/green%20shirt?pageNumber=1&orderBy=0 We both use the same pantone of green. If green clothing is so hard for these stores to acquire, then why does our competition seem to have no problem. And of course, Beat UTEP! .

True, Voertman's did have huge merchandising issues for North Texas gear in the 1980's. They, together with the old campus bookstore exploited a monopoly. They both had crappy gear, bought in very limited quantities, and sold it at enormous markups. Our school moniker is the "Mean Green". We have a very specific pantone of green. Here is Voertman's entire tee shirt selection. Please notice the pricing and the horrid color options: https://voertmans.textbooktech.com/merchandise/t-shirts-1?sort=newest&limit=48 Notice any issue with supplying gear for the "Mean Green"? Oh, and the only green shirt (pastel sherbert green) has stock of two: 1 small, and 1 xl

Black and Yellow print on a white tee shirt. Please tell me that Voertman's can do better.

The most optimistic of Tech fans are claiming that their team may still be able to be relevant this season. Think about that. Tech was a team, that if you reviewed their roster for the last several seasons, that you would have picked to be amongst the conference elite. That hasn't happened, even despite the heroics of Lofton. It's simply their coaching which is keeping them from progressing, and keeping the Tech players from being noticed on a national level. Lofton got more pub from that U19 event then he did from all his time at Tech.
