  1. I can't say your points aren't valid, but I am secure in the belief that no change will be made this year considering the circumstances of the season. If there's not improvement next year, even in the new AAC, then that's another matter. Personally, I have faith in Jalie and hope she'll get it all turned around.
  2. Not entirely true. The gray UNT items and the black UNT items do come with free 30 pieces of silver. Not so much of a sale as of a sellout.
  3. The exit interviews have been interesting...
  4. So true DeepGreen. Welcome home Paula to where you should have been all along. Now go make your North Texas and Euless Tongan community proud.
  5. Jalie came within two baskets of winning the conference a couple years ago. Last year she got our team into the NIT. She is recruiting very well. These are things that haven't happened for North Texas women's basketball regularly. This year, she has six of her fifteen players out just about all season due to injury, with several of them being starters. The team strives to compete but the missing components are enough to inhibit their ability to win. Starting center senior Jaylen Mallard is probably the most important missing piece, and her absense has allowed opponents to go inside much more than recent seasons. So here's the question. Did Jalie, arguably our best women's basketball coach ever, suddenly forget how to coach, or are the losses this year the obvious results of talented players being injured and depth being depleted?
  6. There's a throwback shirt available through TeePublic roughly based on the DMN's SWC cartoonist Bill McClanahan's NTSC "Odus Mitchell" eagle. And another based on the 1960's version with interlocked NT And a Rally House green game day appropriate ... or gray for housework Flying Worm Row One Brand even makes some late 60's vintage items based on the giant Fouts Eagle that faced I-35 for 30 years And a variety of obsolete logos to print and iron on can be downloaded. 7. The Pantone of green that we use is commonly referred to as kelly green or Irish green. Nike does make a ton of products in this shade as both Oregon and Marshall use the same green and are both exclusively Nike customers. Where North Texas has a problem is that somebody "accidentally" listed black as an official color on our branding site, when it is clearly listed as approved only as a tertiary color approved only of outlines and for branding usage in balack and white printed items. It's far easier to locate black textiles than green ones, and our traditions were soon the victim of the laziness of people that couldn't give a crap. This laziness is why Voertman's has foregone having a symbiotic relationship with North Texas and relied for decades entirely as a parasite. They'll grab any quick buck but will put zero effort into benefitting the school. Rally House does make an effort, but they are still restricted by their suppliers seeing black, white, green on our branding site. Colosseum Sportswear, a major supplier to Rally House and Fanatics Sports have sadly both been deceived into believing that black is our predominant school color.
  8. Do you really think that I'm not aware that our traditions don't mean squat to 99% of our alumni? Our employees have even less allegiance, none at all, totally carefree beyond their paycheck. Should we be allowing them to make decisions that alter our heritage? Continuously charging these windmills is not exactly thrilling and I've never taken an oath to preserve the traditions of this university. Emmitt, you tell me I'm fighting the wrong battle and I will give it up immediately.
  9. One fact to remember when investing in spirit gear: North Texas has only two school colors: GREEN and WHITE All other colors are wrong, and they detract from school spirit and water down everybody's game day experience, including yours.
  10. Scott Drew is probably at the top of the wish list for the Texas Longhorns.
  11. True, TCU and North Texas are not the same, but, that loss yesterday has essentially terminated hopes that the Big XII will be anything other than a high G-7 conference after Texas and Oklahoma's departure. That loss will be Exhibit A referenced in any future debate regarding comparable leagues. The yet to be announced Pac defections are going to create the other G-7.
  12. Best of luck to Jake at Baylor. To Jake, thank you for your time at North Texas.
  13. BTW, I refuse to dance on TCU's grave. It was an incredible accomplishment for them to make it this far and I salute them.
  14. Let's see. Michigan throttled Ohio State 45-23. TCU puts up a hell of a fight and beats Michigan. Ohio State loses to Georgia when on a fluke when the incredible OSU kicker shanks a field goal. TCU's equipment manager says "Hey, why don't we wear black and white instead of our school colors. The kids really like wearing uniforms that aren't our school colors." The rest is history. There's a moral in there somewhere. For the oblivious, it's NEVER ...
  15. How do you know this?
  16. What a beautiful succint concise answer.
  17. Oh, Adler was watching. It was a miraculous comeback required to overcome a horrendously bad decision. We're down 19 points in the first 14 minutes of a game playing against somebody we're expected to beat. You would have to be pretty oblivious to not notice that we play horribly when wearing the trash bags. This time we were eventually able to come back and overcome the mistake, but, like in seasons past, the garbage bags have an established history of keeping us out of the NCAA Tournament. Why take this incredibly stupid risk? .
  18. She graduated in her first two years of college. She must be an incredible student that entered college with a load of AP credits and then took a heavy course load to graduate so quickly.
  19. Very impressive player. She's played three seasons. Will this be her last season, or does the 2020 season not count against eligibility like with football and basketball?
  20. Maybe we should wear gray and black uniforms and throw rancid leftover food from local restaurants in the air every time we score. Who cares if it's a concoction of dumb ass ideas that have nothing to do with our school, as long as the kids like it we should do it.
  21. Maybe we should let the kids pick the dinner menu as well.
  22. Yeah, but our presentation would be so much better 😉
  23. Great idea. Maybe also show the Post-Game Show on the Jumbotron as well immediately after the tower lighting and You'll Never Walk Alone.
  24. Thunderstruck was awesome. Does any other school currently use it?
  25. I believe that, until Aune hires an agent, that he will be able to return to college ball next season, and that very likely that would be at another school through the transfer portal. He gave his all for us and I'll cheer for him regardless of what he decides to do, as long as it's not playing for somebody that we're scheduled to play against.
