  1. Some pranksters once had Domino's Pizza delivered to Oliver Miller while he was on the bench for visiting Arkansas. He was a great sport about the prank and even had a piece.
  2. Those mistakes are very common when branding isn't followed. One of our new coaches had also posted that he was leaving to join North Texas University.
  3. Vito has confirmed Galena Park North Shore safety Evan Jackson. Still waiting on the others.
  4. Simple fixes are required as AAC crowds increase. Firing the parking coordinator sounds harsh... but... he/she is endangering people's lives because of his/her inattention to the job. Having only the one lane entering the Fouts parking lot from North Texas Blvd causes the line to back up, eventually bringing the northbound right lane of I-35 to a stop. This is eventually going to get somebody hurt, or worse, and "I don't know, and I wasn't getting paid enough to care" won't be viable excuses in court. Jared will be liable. On Walt Parker by the tennis courts, have two entering lanes scanning parking passes, and IMMEDIATELY force any driver that's not permitted to park in that lot to turn into the tennis/track lot where somebody in a position of authority can tell them precisely how to either pay or get the hell out of the way. The current procedure is to let them block the whole line while they're discussing genealogy and holiday recipes.
  5. Damn, I continue to wonder why no school has ever thought of this.
  6. I think there is a need for members of the Athletics Department to make an effort to regularly meet with the leaders/social chairmen of campus organizations to discuss the scheduled athletics events during the upcoming semesters to help coordinate activities to ensure that they do not have conflicting activities. Fraternities, sororities, and other clubs/organizations have no knowledge of events unless leaders share that information with them. Sometimes they need to be consistently reminded. It the standard "but I sent them that information" is not getting the desired results, then as kindly as possible terminate that person's employment and hire somebody that has a real interest in producing results.
  7. I'm not disagreeing with you, but who do you think we don't have a reasonable shot at beating in the CUSA tournament?
  8. No, no, no, those pinstripe uniforms are gorgeous and the ladies look incredible in them. In our university bylaws, black can be used only as a "tertiary color". It's permitted in very limited situations on uniforms but certainly can be used as an outline color or pinstriping. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a pink-out, black-out, purple-out, or blue-out game each season if it is part of an event.
  9. Owned in it's latter years by North Texas Hall of Famer Tony Worrell. Tony was such an incredibly nice guy, and he tragically passed away in 2015 at age 49. He really loved North Texas. .
  10. This good publicity from our Mean Green softball team elevates the national profile of North Texas and helps recruiting in all sports, including football. "Looking GREAT in GREEN and WHITE, our only school colors" Mean Green Softball Schedule
  11. Sooners offered him on Monday: 247 RECRUITING
  12. At which map are you looking? Their only holdup may be Tulane not wanting another Louisiana school. The other western AAC schools love them.
  13. It will be a mass exodus. WKU has been in talks with the MAC for over a year and were prepared to go in as a package deal with MTSU. It will probably happen after they divvy out CUSA acquired exit fees. UTEP and NMSU are almost certain to join UNM in the depleted MWC. La Tech has the support to replace the first AAC team that leaves (Temple has contemplated following UConn for basketball money). With CUSA no longer being a viable Division I conference* all accrued tourney money will divert directly back to the schools which originally earned it. That will benefit us. (To remain an NCAA credit earning conference, at least 6 of the members must have remained in the conference the three preceding years. CUSA cannot qualify)
  14. The new CUSA has no revenue source. I doubt it can afford to stay in Dallas now, and certainly will not be able to after the upcoming round of realignment. Colorado State and Air Force both said they want the AAC if SDSU moves to the PAC. This starts the dominoes falling, and it won't be pretty for CUSA.
  15. The schedule has been tough with not a single home game during the month of December. Now the C-USA slate has started. Jalie and the Mean Green have won 8 of their last 9 C-USA games inside the Super Pit.
  16. The women are playing really well, dominating both these Florida teams that came in with winning records. FIU destroyed us when we wore the trash bags at their place: But we demolished them while wearing our school colors Green and White. That is a 45 point swing! Hopefully those days of "experimental" colors are in our past. Keep wearing GREEN and KEEP WINNING!
  17. Fun game. We eventually overcame the hangover of Saturday's black trash bags, that we supposedly only use "because the kids like playing in other school's colors." OK, I'll pretend that we can blame it on the kids. But if that's the reason... why are our university banner ads now in black and white? Are we supposed to believe that the 'kids' also demanded for some reason that our promotional materials, clearly in violation of university policy, also be done in black? PLEASE FIRE SOMEBODY. It will be a valuable lesson to them about screwing with somebody else's traditions. .
  18. It's OK Deep, I have a feeling MeanGreen22's poor judgement will eventually catch up with him. "Wear Black, Eat Tide Pods...Wear Black, Eat Tide Pods...Wear Black, Eat Tide Pods...Wear Black, Eat Tide Pods..."
  19. We always have...this just further validates that claim.
  20. She wore Texas colors when representing Texas and U.S. colors when representing the United States. R'Bonney Gabriel making friends while explaining McCasland's defense to a Ukrainian representative And of course she wore Mean Green when representing her University of North Texas in the preliminaries. Thank You R'Bonney for representing the University of North Texas Mean Green so incredibly well.
  21. Miss USA 2022 Gabriel graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in fashion design. She has now become Miss Universe 2023. Congratulations R'Bonney, and thank you for carrying on the traditions of the the university that historically has the most incredible ladies in the world. .
  22. No recruiter, but we are "willing to learn". - John Winger
