Are you guys absolutely sure that we have a #2 seeding, not a #3? Both of these are from the NCAA site, and they run the tournament. They've flipped all the #2s and #3s. OK, found sort of an explanation... we're #2 seed. North Texas in NIT . Hopefully it is correct, but nobody is talking about all these changes.

It was awesome. So many North Texas fans did such an excellent job of representing and promoting our university this week. The rest wore gray and black for some reason.

Dickies arena has been fairly empty for many AAC games during this year's tournament. Hopefully they will offer discount ticket incentives to students like CUSA did last year.

Those tournaments provide invaluable time for developing the team for the next season. It certainly worked for us. Barring an awful season, we should go to one any year that we do not make the NCAA or NIT. And, they're a lot of fun if we get to host games.

Video highlights from tourney win over La. Tech

Why do the stands at the Star look so dark on television? Are they intentionally redirecting lighting because the facility was practically empty for last year's final when North Texas wasn't in the game? You can't see any of the fan support on ESPN+ -
Jalie is not going anywhere this year. She just earned an extension after last year's NIT season and she's a very popular North Texas Hall Of Fame icon on campus. I do think that next year is is the year she needs to show what she can do. I think that she'll be up to the challenge.

The team wasn't prepared for the end of the game. McGruder was saddled with 4 fouls and was the only person covering the UAB ballhandler and it was a "foul immediately" situation. Of course Kendall was was rightfully tentative because her team needed her shooting ability out there, but there is no way that she should have been the player forced to sacrifice that foul. This was a costly oversight by Jalie. She lost her best outside shooter and 15 valuable seconds off the clock.

Poor UTSA. Poor, poor, UTSA. . -
The Big 10 will not be meeting until April and they will then have a new commissioner in place. They will then be able to vote on whether to issue invitations.

Thank you for the stats and the insight. I had noticed incredible improvement in Kai's game, but I hadn't seen the figures clearly stated like this to support it. Good post. That said, I still want to see Aaron take the shot whenever he's open.

Should Aresco and the AAC be looking at expansion candidates?
ADLER replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Football
Yes, it would be humiliating for UConn to come crawling back. It would be like SMU applying to return to the AAC now after they've proclaimed to the world that they're moving to the PAC. UConn has far too much pride for that, and rightfully, SMU does too. Let's let them both be gone to do their own thing elsewhere. -
Bulldogs Add Seven Newcomers To Roster
ADLER replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Good catch Coach Andy Mac. KyeRon Lindsay played one season at Georgia before deciding to enter the transfer portal to move closer to home. He chose Texas Tech and has signed there. While KyeRon will be eligible to begin practicing with the team right away, he will not be eligible to play with the team until the 2023-24 season. Now Texas Tech basketball is in 9th place in the Big 12, has a losing record against Division 1 competition, and their program is crumbling as their coach Mark Adams is suspended amid accusations of racism by him and his staff. https://247sports.com/Player/KyeRon-Lindsay-46117831/ Would KyeRon be able to terminate his signing with Texas Tech due to the scandle and pending rules violations at the school? If so, KyeRon has hundreds of high school classmates attending the University of North Texas certainly including many close friends, his local friends and family could attend all his games, and the North Texas Basketball Program is experiencing record success and has incredible stability with Coach Grant McCasland. It seems like it would be a perfect situation for him.- 7 replies

And yes, it was us that lost because of it. This color switch does absolutely nothing to represent our university and we are the ones that are constantly snakebit due to it. Look, we're not going to automatically win EVERY game because we wear our school colors. Likewise, we are not automatically going to lose EVERY game because we wore some weird alternative color (black/gray/blue) uniforms. The question is why do it? It looks stupid to call yourself the Mean Green and then predominantly wear some color other than Green. It's shown that we usually lose big games in all sports when wearing alternative colors, and we often play down to the level of lesser teams, sometimes losing.

Thanks NT80 for posting this video. I bought all of those green blinkie beads for the Basketball team, the Cheer team, the Dance team, the Pep Band and distributed the rest to fans and Maniacs. This video was an absolute blast to watch.

Where did you see any insinuation that I said WSU and OSU would join the AAC? They, along with the PACs other 2 new tagalongs, will have no other option than the MWC if they wish to stay together. And hopefully SMU is too proud to come crawling back to the AAC.
