We have an oncredible history in GREEN
-
The people have spoken, North Texas just looks damn good in GREEN. It is our identity. We are the MEAN GREEN. Now, we just need to start wearing it again.
-
If it's not OU, then they are celebrating on twitter for no reason.
-
We play Oklahoma State again this season, Wednesday May 3rd at Lovelace Stadium. Hopefully we will be wearing green, and hopefully we will beat them.
-
Very spirited. Almost everybody sporting school colors. Those people are excited and united and they are going to flood into Vegas.

OK, so Emmitt says the Cheeseheads are Grate.

Screw ESPN, Spirit Airlines has $116 round trips and I have already booked. I can put up with chickens and goats walking around the cabin for that price. Flight leaves Tuesday morning and returns Saturday morning. Now, how to keep this trip from becoming THE HANGOVER Part V? A Toast, To The Mean Green! Cheers!

Damn. I love those dark, dark, dark, dark, dark, dark, dark, dark, dark green uniforms!

Finally, our big opportunity to display our school spirit on the big stage. I wonder what color the Mean Green will wear? Seriously, no school could ever, ever fudge this up, could they?

Game Preview and Stat Comparison

She resigned because she thought it was for the best of the program but I am so glad she was given the opportunity to begin with. She elevated and stabilized a program that had been struggling for over a decade, and she always represented the university with class and grace both as a player and as a coach. I would like to see her retained in some position but I wish her nothing but the absolute best. Wherever she goes and whatever she does, she will always be a beloved member of our Mean Green family.

They did look FABULOUS in green. I wish they would wear it more often and get rid of that other crud. -
I like Sissoko a lot and I am thrilled we have him. But at this point Moulaye needs a lot of training and experience. To see what Moulaye could become, please look no further than this example, with both at 6-9" 240, the similarities are uncanny: Michigan State roster Very similar, though no relation that I know of.
-
Any and all doubts were answered by this game today. The first rebound came directly down to Sissoko and he lost the grip on it because he still lacks basketball instincts. He then missed layups which should have been high percentage dunks. We desperately need another big for next year either way. Hopefully we can find something in the Transfer Portal.

Very interesting, and telling, post by MrMcC Oklahoma State Message Board "Both teams if the NCAA committee had used their stated criteria and consistently used it for ALL teams would have been in the NCAA tournament as at large teams above 7 teams that the committee let in. Those seven teams are Iowa, USC, Providence, Mississippi State, Arizona State, North Carolina State, Pitt. Six of those seven teams lost their first round games. Pitt won its first round game over Iowa State(a team OSU beat twice). Both North Texas and OSU would be favored by 4 or 5 points against those seven teams on a neutral court. North Texas and OSU are both capable of beating some of the teams that are still alive in the NCAA tournament." It was only SHSU's Dance Team, Sammy the BeerKat, and the pep band. There were no SHSU cheerleaders there.
-
Never doubt Adler. It's like it's being being spoken through the burning bush.
-
I think they may have been able to bring a larger pep band because they didn't bring any cheerleaders. The NIT closely monitors how many spirit personnel are allowed. ( I heard something about that last year)
-
Tipoff is Tuesday at 6:00 Buy your tickets ASAP as the OSU people will try to shut out our fans, at least from the lower bowl seating.

UTSA's 6-11" center Jacob Germany in transfer portal
ADLER replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Basketball
We'll see. It was like dejavu all over again as UAB embarrassingly shut us out to start the game just like La Tech did last year. We desperately need some inside strength to relieve some of the pressure on an often undersized Abou and provide some high percentage scoring. That's what having a second capable big power forward could provide. We absolutely tanked in games in games when Abou fouled out. We were up 46-37 on FAU when Abou fouled out. FAU then went on an uncontested run and won 50-46, that 13 straight points in the final 3:54. We need interior strength and depth. A player like Jacob would have provided that difference, and in the Rice game too, and in the Charlotte game... -
Yeah, I don't predict another upset by FDU. FAU has a high chance of making the Sweet 16. Too bad all that tourney money will be left for the future CUSA schools.

That's some great sportsmanship Anfernee, great sportsmanship.
