  1. Kickoff returned to NT 40. but flag back at the 20. Ball placed at the 10.
  2. TD! Extra point blocked. 37-34 lead.
  3. 34-31
  4. This has been a hard fought campaign. McCain did a fine job handling this ordeal recently in Pennsylvania. AqV3AXjqP0w
  5. I was leaning towards voting for Obama but I do believe that McCain's recently revised economic recovery plan has the potential to be incredibly beneficial to many, many Americans. This is what he had to say today: WdIhzfPakZ8
  6. Unless the rules have changed, I don't think Joe is eligible for a medical redshirt. I believe that the maximum amount of games a player can participate in and still receive a medical redshirt is three. Joe played in the KSU, Tulsa, LSU, and Rice games. Zach Muzzy was injured on the opening kickoff of his fourth game in 2003 and the NCAA denied his medical redshirt request.
  7. Hey Mean Green fans.... When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle! 1loyjm4SOa0 And....always look on the bright side of life!
  8. OK, I'll take the bait. What were Dodge and the athletic department reacting to from day one? What sparked the rift?
  9. But wait... Isn't gomeangreen.com the watchdog group that investigates any ties between political candidates and suspected criminals? And here we have a criminal convicted of seven felony charges, selling out the interests of our country for his own personal gain, and his associations are not relevant? Until recently Stevens was one of the main people credited for Alaska's recent prosperity.
  10. I didn't make it to the show tonight, my bride informed me that I had family obligations, but I know that there is always a microphone available for questions. If you don't hear an announcement for it, go ask Hank or George before the show or during a break. There are enough problems around that I really don't see a need to invent more. There was also the coach wouldn't speak to the media after the Rice game rumor, when in actuality, Rice didn't have lines available that went to the visitors locker room.
  11. Speaking of family, when Sarah Palin vacated the mayor's seat in tiny little Wasilla, the two opposing candidates were her cousin and her mother-in-law.
  12. Senator Ted Stevens guilty of all 7 felony charges Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Senate Republican in history and patriarch of Alaska politics, was found guilty of all seven felony charges for making false statements. Stevens was ranking member on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and on the Appropriations Defense subcommittee. Stevens is facing a maximum of 35 years in prison.
  13. Here's the actual press conference. s3_ZxYg1r88
  14. I think Joe Biden handled the questions very well. He actually knows what he is talking about, actually knows who those historical figures are, knows what policies are, and doesn't need to keep blurting scripted talking points. He certainly didn't start babbling incoherently like lj3iNxZ8Dww Throw a brown wig and glasses on that chick and I couldn't tell the difference.
  15. Yeah, what you said.
  16. I am just relieved that this election is going to be determined by posters exchanging insults on the gomeangreen.com message board. Kinda makes me proud to just be a part of it all.
  17. Not that I think another position should be added to his resume', but I think Warren would have made an outstanding fullback in this offense. He has size, and he has (at least he used to have) speed, and he has the ability to throw a fairly decent pass if needed. I remember his freshman year when he played quarterback in practices, Warren was certainly not a polished passing quarterback, but he was very dangerous when he started running. And Mahon...Good job on the opening kickoff. The regular returners keep dropping 'em and the linebacker with the taped hands makes a solid catch and a decent return.
  18. A couple of questions: Why isn't Marching Band a credit course? Why shouldn't it count as a PE for music majors or even as a credit music course? In a school of 34,000, especially at North Texas which is a school well known for musicians, why are there not students that aren't music majors in the band? Couldn't an open recruitment of qualified students result in an 800-1000 member Green Brigade? I think the largest music school in the country should have an incredibly impressive (and huge) band for football games and parades. Is a thousand member band practial/possible? What are the biggest bands in the country?
  19. Alright, let's end this 'Palin is qualified' debate. She's not. She is the governor of Alaska and has only held that position for the last two years. At 663,000 square miles, Alaska is larger than the combined area of the 23 smallest U.S. States and Districts: Washington, D.C., Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, Hawaii, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maryland, West Virginia, South Carolina, Maine, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, North Carolina. The total population of this huge state (680,000) is about one third of Tarrant County, Texas. The second largest city in Alaska, Fairbanks, is half the size of Denton. The oil and gas industry dominates the Alaskan economy, with more than 80% of the state's revenues derived from petroleum extraction. Oil prices had risen drastically over the past few years and Alaska has been a huge beneficiary of this rise. A plate of spaghetti could have been governor and the economy would have prospered. None of it is due to Sarah Palin.
  20. Yes, and even third graders were able to figure out that she has no f'n idea what she's doing. Palin is a lot like a parrot. Both can be taught to repeat words and phrases, but neither has the slightest clue what they are actually saying.
  21. Well said Stebo. A change needed to be made but I do wish that we had been able to retain a couple of the coaches from his staff.
  22. Gee Dad, I know you suggested Mayfield Power but it wasn't really doing anything. Eddie said that Jet Electro was a sure thing. Well, Ward wasn't around to bail out Wally and Beav this time.
  23. The $51 million being contributed is coming from the hotel/car rental/ restaurant tax. Studies by the city indicate that division 1 sports will increase tourism revenue by something like $83 million annualy. That number sounds huge to me, but it's their justification for putting all that money into UTSA athletics. It's not a move to help UTSA, it's a move to bolster tourism revenue and UTSA is the tool to be utilized, similar to what Orlando has accomplished with Central Florida.
  24. Atta Boy Charlie! You tell 'em how the cow eats the cabbage! Great rant!
