Last night KXAS 5, our local NBC affiliate, ran through all the college scores. They didn't announce the North Texas score though, they simply stated that "North Texas went to Tennessee to collect another paycheck". The whored games are not worth the damage to our institutions reputation regardless of how much money is left on the nightstand.

You guys are bragging because your team's honor is being sold to the Aggies so your team can be abused like some prison bitch? It doesn't matter what kind of whore program you are, it's just that you are not truly Division 1 if you have to whore out your sports teams. Keep Calm and Whore On

I am in no way suggesting that the extension will not happen, and I hope it does as it seems as if the series will be mutually beneficial to both schools. What I'd like to see is ALL future whore games and ALL future 1AA games get cancelled and replaced by home-and-home with Texas State, NMSU, Arkansas St, Louisiana, or any regional AAC, Big 12, or MWC schools. The days churning the schedules to accommodate whored games need to end because the process is killing our program.

Really? Or is that just a rumor based on a potential series which has been discussed between the two schools? Please enlighten us if you have information regarding contracted games because the last game that I am aware of is for SMU to play at North Texas is September 3 2016 and anything beyond that is pure speculation.

41-27 final. BGSU has averaged 590 yards offense this season, has over 500 yards offense in each of their last ten games, and again had over 500 in the rain tonight in Michigan. Bring in a coaching staff like this and eliminate the worthless whore games and North Texas will soon be selling out Apogee on a regular basis.

How about this, JUST SAY NO TO WHORE GAMES. Schedule all non-conference games only as home-and-home contracts with the best schools available, and sell enough tickets to make the budget work.

That's terribly sad to hear. Tony was a fantastic basketball player but an even better person. Our prayers are with his bride Renee and their family at this time. .

Thankfully that game was rescheduled so our team could be whored out to Alabama for an embarrassingly noncompetitive contest in 2011. That's the ol' North Texas spirit! Never schedule home-and-home series when you can whore out your team for easy cash.

This week's Tennessee game is an opportunity for our athletic department to prove that whore games are beneficial and enhance the image of the university.

Are you sure you're that ready to lionize the guy for edging a really, really bad UTSA team? I'm happy to have the win and all, but we got outperformed at home by a crappy UTSA team starting a 4th string walk-on quarterback and had to rely on a fumble return to score enough to win. Everything else has been the same horror show we've been watching for two years, just with a little more rah-rah. I like Mike, my bike likes Mike, but he's just not a viable part of the future of this program.

This does highlight one of the advantages that we (and other Texas teams) have. Sonny may be making $2 million per year in California, but the cost of living is incredibly high and he's paying $270 thousand per year in state income taxes. Suddenly $1.5 million doesn't seem so non-competitive, even with some of these P5 schools.

The WHORE GAMES need to end. They have severely damaged the image of this athletic department, and worse yet, have cast a very negative public image of the university. We were told they would end, that North Texas would be able to play attractive opponents in home and home arrangements. Our schools dignity would no longer be sold to the highest bidders. That hasn't happened. of losing Instead, cash is taken now for selling our team far into the future. North Texas hasn't won a WHORED GAME during the lives of any of it's players. That's a damn long time and this well established legacy of losing makes recruiting to North Texas very difficult. PLAY THE GAME THIS WEEK AND THEN TEAR UP EVERY SINGLE FUTURE WHORE GAME CONTRACT SET ON FUTURE SCHEDULES. I had no idea Sonny was looking to leave Cal. That would be a dream job for an awful lot of west coast coaches. Chico has been building his offense for six years and it is functionally inept as far as contributing to the games outcome in any way, shape, or form. It is 100% Chico's responsibility.
