Kincade is the type of player that would be an NFL prospect if he were somewhere that he could display his abilities. I hope he decides to do that here in Littrell's pass-happy system.

Could be even worse than 30 days. First, the hard part; they must identify and negotiate a contract with a suitable candidate while being able to prove they showed no racial biases in the hiring process. Then, under Texas law, a 21-day waiting period must be observed before the UT System can vote to hire the finalist. The first part, as Texas State has discovered, can be a drawn out process all by itself. They too will have to wait 21 days for the Texas State System board to approve their candidate once they find one. And, to add insult to injury for the athletes committed to those schools, the new coaching staff is in no way legally bound to honor the scholarship offers that have been extended by the previous staff. The athletes could find they have no scholarship offer from that school and it will be far too late to start the recruiting process with another college.

He's from just east of Malmo in Sweden. I've only been there in Summer but I bet it gets extremely frosty this time of year.

Kincade is an outstanding quarterback and this could potentially be a great opportunity for North Texas. There are not reports of anybody turning down anybody yet so let's wait and see what happens.

I'd love to have him here even if it is just for the 2017 season.

There should be more than one arrest in this case. Both the driver of the SUV and the person that pulled the trigger are responsible for aiming the weapon.

From KEYE-TV Austin The Denton Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting death of 20 year old University of North Texas Student Sara Mutschlechner, who was shot while being the designated driver for a New Year's party in Denton. Eric Jamal Johnson was arrested for murder by the U.S. Marshal Service on Tuesday morning in Yuma, Arizona.

Is this speculation, or have you read or heard something indicating this?

I too am awaiting news on these two and hoping for something good. On another similar situation, whatever happened to 4-star running back Jordan Stevenson from South Oak Cliff? He committed to Mack Brown at Texas, decommitted after Brown was fired, signed with Wisconsin but was denied admission, and then chose Nebraska over Alabama and Miami. Stevenson left Nebraska in early November and is looking to pursue his career elsewhere. I bring this up because so many of these area players that previously left home would have an outstanding time continuing their playing careers where friends and family can come watch, and where friends and girlfriends are students.

The media keeps calling this an act of Road Rage. Why? This situation appears to have started at a social setting and was not simply a situation where violence erupted after two drivers paths crossed. These men pursued their victims and then shot the designated driver that protected them.

North Texas was affected in an odd way by the way the dominoes fell after the Sandusky scandal at Penn State. North Texas would have hosted Michigan in the Jan 1, 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl if Penn State was not suspended from postseason play. Michigan subsequently moved up one slot in the Big Ten bowl slots and and played in the Texas Bowl in Houston while the Heart of Dallas bowl was relegated to taking a UNLV team that sold very few tickets and was not much of a television draw.

Road Rage? No. Why candy coat this? Call it what it really is. It was a hate crime, or it should be investigated as so until it can be proven otherwise. Handle it the same way as if four white men left a party and went out to kill a black girl. These four scum may be no different than the scum that murdered James Byrd Jr in Jasper and likely deserve the same fate.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw some tall guy out at Starbucks last night. She said there's a possible rumor that he might walk on at North Texas so I guess it's pretty serious.
