  1. Online programs are profitable, but students come out with an inferior education.
  2. Did Greer play?
  3. Speaking of eyesores, is the city of Denton ever going to fix the streets on campus?
  4. It is difficult for alumni to attend Thursday night games. The vast majority do not live in Denton, and they have to go to work early the next day. Also, it is getting harder and harder to drive up from both Dallas and FW because of traffic and construction.
  5. Based on the Startlegram coverage, I think they published the writeup reluctantly.
  6. Don't mess with "Fly Like an Eagle!!!"
  7. SilverEagle... That is the North Texas band of my youth, too, but I prefer the 400 members that were on the field last Fall. It was a richer, fuller sound, and Mr. McAdow preferred Sousa marches, and I don't. The Green Brigade sounded better last season than I've ever heard them.
  8. Jamario is/was my all time favorite Mean Green player.
  9. Thanks for the info, everyone. I'm proud of them, too.
  10. Anybody heard how our cheerleaders did at Nationals?
  11. Many thanks, Army of Dad!
  12. Changing the subject slightly. I've not kept up and was looking over the brackets this morning. Tulsa is the only CUSA team at the NCAA?
  13. Jamario's 2004 game with Colorado.
  14. I liked Gretchen.
  15. UNT90, that's a stereotype. You would be surprised how many members of Gomeangreen.com are women.
  16. JaMario was/is my all time favorite UNT player. I'd wear my #20 jersey still, but he wouldn't get the credit.
  17. My husband just found the game listed on our Uverse guide...CSN HD, channel 1741.
  18. I've suffered through last season and the past 30. This team is incredibly improved over last year. I am proud of them and I predict we will win at least six games and go to a bowl.
  19. I found a picture of the new ring styles, but I cannot post it because the file is too big. The ad is located on page 12 of today's NT Daily. There are four rings pictured, two versions of the original official ring, and the two new styles. If someone can tell me how to attach a file that is 47 KB, let me know and I'll post it. Instead of the administration building, seal and eagle on the side, the two new styles have the major (one says "Marketing" and the other says "Finance and MBA." The one that says "Marketing" also says "2015 BA," and has the oval face that the original had. The one that says "Finance" and "MBA" has a flat face with son of worm, instead of the raised oval.
  20. I am old and Green Mean is correct. We were using the term "Mean Green" before Joe was famous because of the wife of our sports information director.
  21. Birds of Prey!!
  22. ...but the administration building and eagle on the sides have been removed even from the "traditional" new style.
  23. That is true of one of the new styles, but the other one is completely different and has son of worm on it. If I can find a picture of the ad, I will post it.
  24. Not really football related, but another tradition has gone the way of our multi shades of green. Several years ago the university adopted an official class ring and a yearly ceremony was added to honor seniors when they picked them up. This week I saw an ad in the NT Daily with a picture of four different types of UNT rings. The caption read something like, "Now you have your choice of four styles of UNT class rings. Come pick yours out." One of the new styles is similar to the "official" one that was launched several years ago, but one is entirely different and instead of the usual admin building and eagle, there is son of worm. It's not that I don't like son of worm; I just don't understand why our university can't decide on something and stick with it for more than five or six years. Is it because that is the tenure of our administrators?
