  1. Congratulations on a great performance this evening and a terrific career at North Texas... Best of luck in the future. We LOVE you!!!!
  2. Vernon is now 11-1, having defeated Sweetwater this evening in Round Two(?) of the playoffs. Darien Williams, one of our verbal recruits, has been starting at quarterback for the Lions, but he prefers to play free safety, the position he was recruited to play at NT.
  3. New shade of white...
  4. Why wasn't Bud Wilkinson on there???
  5. New shade of green.
  6. From SI.com: Singleton's 65-yard score was set up after Ram Vela intercepted a pass by Giovanni Vizza , who was 40-of-50 passing for 478 yards and an NCAA freshman-record eight touchdown passes. Both of Vizza's interceptions came in the second half.
  7. Did anyone go to last night's pep rally? How was it?
  8. The person who was dismissed from the equity and diversity position was replaced by a Hispanic.
  9. Troy plays Georgia at noon CST... Everyone root for Troy.
  10. I absolutely agree. In fact, I want to go on record NOW to say that I will not renew my season tickets or ever again contribute to athletics if the university does not support Todd and his staff. I have supported this university for years, and I cannot express how disappointed I will be if there are serious repercussions launched at this staff, based on the perceptions of a few players.
  11. Nope...I have season tickets and the only "thank you" I've received by email was the week after the one game I was able to go to. Missed homecoming and no thank you note.
  12. I have always believed in Jamario!!!
  13. I guess by now you guys realize the game was on Channel 631 (Direct TV) in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. However, the announcers were obviously biased for Troy from the get-go.
  14. I have to put in my 2 cents worth here. If I were president or provost, I would either come up with some kind of proactive plan to entice/force people to pick up after themselves or move to do away with the tailgating on the parking lot, altogether. If I want to see what I saw when I left the stadium Saturday night, all I have to do is drive out to the dumpyard. I shouldn't have to look at all that garbage as I walk back to my car. It's an embarrassment to the university community.
  15. Vernon 38 Breckenridge 19 Up 10-6 at the half, Vernon used a pair of big plays early in the third quarter to pull away and coast to the win. Vernon fullback Craig Whiteside finished with 155 yards on 14 carries, including a 55-yarder that jumpstarted the Lions on the first possession of the second half. After intercepting a Travis Wallis pass defensively, [b]Darien Williams helped the Lions offensively when he connected with Demetrias Murray from 42 yards out to put the Lions up 24-6 with 5:08 left in the third period.
  16. Did he say if Jamario was badly hurt???
  17. I listened to the whole game thinking they would tell me how Jamario is, and all I heard was George saying, "We know Jamario rolled an ankle." Yeah...we know that. Now....how is he?
  18. It was really painful for me to watch Jamario on TV after he left the game with an injury. Has anyone heard anything about how he is doing? I sure hope he's back next game.
  19. Rod Rust preceded Hayden Fry.
  20. My son-in-law who played football for A&M watched the A&M/La-Monroe game and said the Monroe offense is potent.
  21. I was thrilled for Jamario. I knew he still had it, but he needed to prove it. Way to go J-mo!!
  22. I've ALWAYS believed in Jamario!!!
  23. Someone posted that the new paint job had been donated. Personally, I think it looks great just as it is (painted, that is).
  24. Lots of praise for Derek Tomlin.
  25. Wish we had Booger Kennedy.
