I have no problem with Wright Waters. The SBC has been on television more the past three years than any in my recollection. Seems to me he's gone to bat for the conference on several issues.

I, for one, have absolutely no complaints about the band....and I love "Fly Like an Eagle!"

I am very happy that Riley is on this team! I think some on this board are afraid that Riley will be given preferential treatment simply because he is the coach's son. I also suspect Todd Dodge is acutely aware of that sentiment and will respond in as fair a manner as possible...yet, with a winning season in mind.

He will like the music scenr in Denton. He wouldn't have been happy at a place like A&M that has no music scene.

Folks at ULL resent being referred to as UL-Lafayette. They say they were the first University of Louisiana and simply refer to themselves as Louisiana.

This speaks to the number of individuals who are willing to pay tuition to an outfit with a poor academic reputation, just because it's all online. Their advertising is misleading, too, because it suggests a degree will produce a job. Most employers would rather hire anyone with a degree from a more reputable institution.

OK...I know he graduated after the 2007 season, but Jamario is still my favorite player. I was thrilled to receive a Mean Green #20 jersey for Christmas from my son. Does anyone know what J-mo is doing these days? I hope things are going well for him.

Folks...Have you noticed that the brochures that have been distributed have this picture and the words, "CONCEPT ONLY?" That's because I guarantee you that HKS is going to come up with an entirely different design than what has been circulated. I happen to know an architect associated with HKS who was unimpressed with that "CONCEPT."

Maybe it's because I'm not always early and just hadn't seen it before, but I really loved the way they carried our battle flag to the center of the field while the band played opening exercises at the last home game. There he stood while the band played and the flag was waving in the wind, and I was moved.

We have a College Inn, too.
