  1. Don’t bring your horrible Twitter energy here. Stick to being respectable.
  2. And he was almost hired away and got a huge raise and extension. Look, you have been presented facts about why he could be a good candidate. He might fail here. Another HC might succeed here or fail. Seth might stay and win the AAC or finish last. We don’t have a clue. We can only guess based on past results and those say that Fuente, Brown, or Holtz (or another former HC) are more likely to succeed. All could also fail. It seems obvious you are digging in on this issue, so I will stop arguing with you about it. But if we fire Seth (and I think we will) my vote is for an experienced HC, specifically one who has guided a G5 program to a championship.
  3. Now check out their record before Fuente. It was a rebuild and then 3rd year success. We don’t even need a rebuild. Skip Holtz. I mean, it’s three examples within our own conference! And two of them earned their way back to P5, FFS.
  4. Your last point was what I was thinking. A handful of 4 star guys and P5 transfers would immediately make us more competitive in the AAC.
  5. In addition to the Wren connection: Overall winning HC record and winning record at both places he has coached. Bowl wins, conference championship, AAC and ACC coach of the year under his belt. Former QB and QB coach. Texas ties (coached at TCU 2007-11). Under 50. Incentive to return to the area (from Tulsa).
  6. I would take 12 games over .500 as an acceptable standard of average. Also has an AAC championship under his belt.
  7. I had forgotten about his off-field issue but what I obviously meant was: experienced OC, HC experience, and brand name in Texas. And now he is paying dues at the lower levels, which is something many of us also prioritize. He wouldn’t be my first choice but certainly wouldn’t be a horrible option.
  8. I say win out but realistically I understand we are unlikely to fire a coach who has just won a championship.
  9. Applewhite could be an option as well. Ticks a lot of the boxes.
  10. 22 minutes time of possession. Ironically, even when we score we do so quickly and our defense doesn’t rest. We were again short on sustained drives.
  11. He would never be on the AD’s list, just fans that don’t value our program.
  12. This was your fault.
  13. Wit this loss, it should be conference title AND bowl win or fired.
  14. The old Aune returns and is under 50% again (plus a key fumble), so the running game dies and we lose again.
  15. If Aune is around 60 percent completion then I like our chances. I am curious if we will try to stop the run or if we concede that their RB is going to get his and not let them beat us with the pass.
  16. Just win.
  17. It’s like looking at the herpes he got from Vicki Valencourt.
  18. No, because they have actually been successful.
  19. Well I have made my position pretty clear: we should play our backups when we can - especially at QB. Of course we aren’t going to send someone out there to sling the ball around and run up the score, but it is still valuable for them to be on the field seeing a full-speed opposing defense. And there will be some passing opportunities, offering experience reading coverage. Conversely, I see very little value in having starters stay in all game, especially given the run of injuries this year. Even more so since it is late in the season and basically every player is banged up. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
  20. Body bag game at Baylor to pay for the buy out? 😎
  21. would have made more sense to do: UNT-UTsa Smut-Tulsa Tulane-Rice
