  1. I highly doubt we need to press DEs and TEs into running back service. Ragsdale can carry the main load and if the two young’ns struggle with pass protection then we can leave the h-back more often as needed. As I said before, probably more likely Earle picks up more carries before they pull people out of position.
  2. Might we see more Stone Earle wildcat?
  3. Anything less than a conference championship.
  4. I mean it just as easily been called the Flying Penis so not sure people should get so uppity about the worm.
  5. Exactly what they should have done.
  6. I don’t give a damn about yards. It’s points that matter. That being said we are around 32/33 a game, which isn’t great but in part a product of our offense. We end up with a LOT of short drives, even when they are successful. Defense often does not get much of a breather. Thankfully, the offense has been productive and is #27 at nearly 36 ppg. Defense has been improving considerably the last 5 weeks and on a positive trend.
  7. If Gush replaces Bennett, I hope we hire Marcus Trice to coach the safeties. He has a lot of high school coaching experience and would be a recruiting asset.
  8. If we wins a conference championship, he returns. If he doesn’t, he is fired. I think it’s that simple. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  9. If OL is a measure of overall performance (most of us agree games are won in the trenches, right?) that ranking would equate to third in the AAC. (Yes I understand that is a stretch but it’s fun to deal with hypothetical situations.) Third in the AAC would this year mean we would already be at 6 wins and end up in one of these bowls: – Fenway Bowl vs ACC – Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs Conference USA – Military Bowl Presented by Peraton vs ACC – Radiance Technologies Independence Bowlvs Army I would happily take any of those destinations or matchups. I think our WR/TE and RB corps match up pretty well against the AAC as well. (Now our QB room is a different story, obviously…) DL and LBs aren’t a concern, although our DBs don’t stack up despite how well our CBs have been playing lately. Our safeties just drag down the average there too much, unfortunately. So in response to your assertion, I would say this admittedly random-ass ranking in fact shows there might be positions that already favorably compare to our new AAC peers and not EVERY position needs an immediate upgrade. I think we have a thread somewhere with top three upgrades needed, so I will add my thoughts to that.
  10. The answer is fifth round pick
  11. Completion percentage Aune: 57 Harris: 69 Rushing yards Aune: 20 Harris: 319 (5 TDs) INTs Aune: 9 (three? pick 6) Harris: 6 Harris has much better stats and a more positive impact for his team. Also has played one less game than Aune. If you subtract the points Aune has given away and take into consideration Harris’ rushing ability, it’s no contest.
  12. Thanks! Is there an option for green merchandise?
  13. You have obviously forgotten their SunBelt years when they were the only team Dodge could beat!
  14. There are around 5 MILLION people in Houston. I think both stadiums could get filled.
  15. So both of you are saying that a 10-4 coach should be fired after his conference championship and bowl win?
  16. Sure, although that was actually two years ago and Quinn has been the only QB coach for three years. Even with this week I think Aune is at around 55-56 percent, which still isn’t good enough for this offense. Not to mention the three pick-sixes he has thrown. We have to remember the Memphis game is a W without that.
  17. This would be the 2nd conference championship game.
  18. I am torn on this. Quinn was also his de facto QB coach last year when he threw 52% and when he completed less than half his passes last week.
  19. He does, and Seth might too at the end of this season. My point is that he was fired from Cal for not winning and never won a title at Smut. Even though he did have a 10-win season there, it was only good enough for 3rd place in the conference. He won his conference championship in the WAC. Never even made a championship game. The year he was hired away he was 8-4, 6th place in his conference. I dont think Seth will get hired away, but I am saying hiring Dykes was unlikely and risky and it happened - and seems to have paid off for TCU.
