  1. He does when they are out for the year, but that’s it. But why signal anything for the last game?
  2. As always, this game will depend on Aune’s completion percentage. No rain in the dome so the dirty birds will stack the box with 8+ and dare Aune to beat us. Usually when that happens, we lose big. Our terrible OC generally can’t come up with ways to compensate for Aune’s inaccuracy. If we can either get the run game going or figure out how to get Aune some opportunities, we have a puncher’s chance.
  3. I agree with using Earle but Ragsdale has got this under control.
  4. Oh please, Tulsa suffered during the pandemic and was slashing budget, unlike NT.
  5. Dickey was just fired (excuse me “resigned”) at ATM
  6. As a counterpoint, last year it was us at 5-6, hungry and in the cold rain. UTSA folded and many fans dismissed our win as a product of the weather. I preferred to credit our preparation and resilience. Fast forward a year and we have the inverse: a hungry 5-6 Rice team that knows to stack the run defense. But we hold on and win. Not convincingly, but a win. I guess I am giving the team credit for pulling through.
  7. How does our OC call that amazing play for the called-back TD and then follow it up with that garbage?
  8. Thankfully that drive took almost 4 minutes (our longest drive of the game) and maybe our defense has caught its breath.
  9. TD brought to you courtesy of the successful running game. Edit: now 5.4 a carry
  10. Ragsdale proves my point. And now an injured Johnson does as well.
  11. The running game is tough, admittedly. But we are at 3.3 a carry, which isn’t great but not shutdown horrible. Rice has a 2-1 time of possession advantage. We are exhausted.
  12. Just came here to say this. We are a rushing team in the rain with only 15 rushing attempts. Fire Seth.
  13. As always, our defense is worn out in the second half bc the offense can do anything when the opponent lines up to stop the run.
  14. Maybe we need a snowflake reaction option instead?
  15. We lose guys* to P5 and we pick up FCS transfers. Hierarchy of college football. *starters - we have plenty who leave for lower ranks. Only a couple have transferred to peers (Siggers and Stout) and most who left rarely if ever saw the field.
  16. Aren’t their some clouds that need yelling at?
  17. Aune wasn’t surprising since he has primarily stated he plans to move on. The OL on that list other than Mose were a surprise, as was Bush. LeBlanc still should have eligibility but not a surprise.
  18. Some of these guys aren’t seniors (I know the COVID year throws this all off) but having two starting linemen on this list who are listed as juniors makes me wonder. Are they planning to leave and why? Both are injured currently. So badly they are giving up the sport? Planning to transfer? Tommy Bush also a question mark.
  19. So you are saying coaches should use blowouts to gain experience for their backups? 🤔
  20. So…North Texas Hall of Fame worthy?
  21. I wonder if hiring Brown or Fuente might result in a couple P5 transfers from their respect programs.
