  1. You can be a smartass all you like but he played soft for someone his size. I can’t imagine I am the only one who thought that here. Not trying to say he wasn’t good or valuable to the team in his time here but he wasn’t a hard nosed big man. He was often in foul trouble and the fouls rarely seemed to prevent the opponent from getting a good shot off. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. As I understand, that’s what the Light the Tower group is more or less doing.
  3. Gumms was at a totally different level of accomplishment and athleticism. That one stinks of tampering. This one less so due to the new defensive alignment. Too small to play DE and too slow to play LB?
  4. Explain please. Even if a passionate alumnus?
  5. No idea on this kid’s potential position, but I think we have plenty of examples of players being brought it for their athletic potential and then settling into a position later. LB Jeremy Phillips during the Dodge years came in as a QB. Same for his brother Jason at TCU, who played LB in the NFL. Brian Waters played both sides of the ball here and later was a Pro Bowler in a position he never played in college. For that matter, TCU built a powerhouse by bringing in speedy, athletic guys and finding the best fit for them later. On our current roster, Loronzo Thompson was brought in as a WR but is in the two-deep as a CB. I would also just add that not all 25 recruits will end up starting and depth is important, so even if he never starts a game it won’t mean he didn’t contribute to the team.
  6. “The goal of the Collective is to create partnerships with companies and corporations to serve the community through impactful mentoring and educational programs. Our plan is to have student-athletes work side by side with the staff of companies to develop and present these programs to an array of groups that could include but not be limited to: Elementary, Middle, and High School Classes Boys and Girls Clubs After School Programs Community Sports Teams Church Youth Groups Student-Athletes would be involved in the planning, setup, and execution of these projects while working side by side with marketing or community development personnel to meet the desired outcomes of your company and the expected educational components of our student-athletes. Student-athletes will be compensated by the collective for their participation.” https://www.lightthetowercollective.com/community-partners/
  7. I could be wrong (unlikely) but pretty sure he gets paid to do that. That’s exactly what the Light the Tower Collective advertises as part of their paid students’ activities for the collective.
  8. Honestly, he should go wherever he gets the best deal. Could make 5x in college what he might make with his first overseas pro contract.
  9. When Grant left ASU after only one year to come here, it was obvious he was a climber and this was just the next stepping stone. It’s a business. But despite his success here, I don’t care about what happens next for him.🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. I like how Alabama didn’t make the final four but still is ranked fourth. The AP: 🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. Told ya. And that will drop most likely. 247 only gave him an 85, which means the other services had him higher. They will reevaluate later and lower their scores since he is an NT commit. If/when he flips to a P5 then it will magically go up..
  12. Maybe he can go somewhere where he can play soft? Seems better suited to his style.
  13. Thank you. Do not give a damn what he says now that he isn't our coach.
  14. Thankful for what he did here, but no need to wish him well or any of that nonsense (just I definitely don't care what happens to Grant now that he is gone). The unfortunate reality is he was basically an employee and, like any employee, is seeking better employment. Bye.
