  1. So is there a legal formation where we can play only skill positions and not use linemen?
  2. I really don’t remember all the details from the article but I think they are shifting to a new model of working with companies.
  3. Not necessarily. IRS is reviewing collectives. I would guess they will set rules on what should be label as a non-profit. Many probably won’t be.
  4. Not to discourage you but I thought I read in a recent @Brett Vito article that the collective was moving away from taking donations.
  5. 8 wins including Cal or Memphis would be a good sign.
  6. 7-5 in a new conference is fine, although that means only beating weaker teams (based on preseason ratings alone). So it's pretty much the same thing we have done the last 20 years. And specifically something we disliked about Littrell. Addressing the expectations question above, 7-5 was good enough to get Seth fired, so maybe the administration has raised its expectations? I think most around here have as well. It's a new coaching staff with lots of key roster changes, so we don't have a clue how they will perform. First time FBS head coach, first time D1 DC. Top returning LB, WR, and CB (arguably) in the SEC. No clear QB1. So yes, we likely don't have a strong chance of making a big first year splash and we somewhere between a rebuild and reload. So 7-5 works and won't feel like a setback. It might, however, in reflection seem like a missed opportunity - especially if year two and three don't show major improvement. With our two biggest rivals predicted to outshine us this season, we need to just hope that we have quality losses and not repeat the pattern of the last six years of completely bombing in big games, then 7-5 will feel a little more like progress.
  7. That should mean around 7-5 for the season. Not great, not bad. Kind of a North Texas kind of year. 😐
  8. Looks like Gonzaga?
  9. I am pretty selective with that here bc we are all theoretically fans. But obviously CougarQueef is on my block list and a handful of the most insane posters here that always post the most ridiculous takes. They just aren’t worth my time or attention. It is probably only four people but a certain Brady Bunch reference is joining soon.
  10. Cobbs also said they don’t plan to sign a RB this class.
  11. At this point I would guess we are probably done with our WR class anyway.
  12. The only people bagging on this series are the unserious posters. Take my advice and just block them.
  13. I think they would still stop in those end of half situations.
  14. I just hope that someone is thinking about the fact that if it’s the credit union, we will have daTCU stadium. Having the name of another local school in the name of the stadium is asinine. People are going to hear “the TCU stadium.”
  15. Please see the post above yours explaining the need to fill OOC games in 2024 due to losing SMUt and Memphis. There are not a lot of options at this point, so we have an additional series with a peer program. That’s a good job on the part of the AD. How many fans come from the other program is irrelevant and small-time thinking. We need to attract our own students, alumni, and locals.
  16. I don’t mean it as a negative. As I understand the Light the Tower’s model, they sign kids to NIL agreements to do this sort of thing. Was mostly pointing it out as potential evidence that the collective is rewarding top players.
  17. Looks like he is going to play in Finland? At least he should be used to the cold after his years in North Dakota.
  18. We have more talent than LaTech, ACU, FIU, Temple, and Navy (although they generally compensate through scheme). Probably Tulsa also now that I think about it. That doesn’t guarantee wins but it’s a pretty good foundation for optimism.
