  1. I wonder if this poster is a lawyer...
  2. I went to both UNT and GMU so I can root for both brothers.
  3. Ironically UNT has equal or better academics than much of the SEC. Priorities.
  4. Looking at the LBs and secondary one has to think the JUCOs will probably change much of that part of the depth chart. Similarly, freshman might impact the lineup at WR. Anyone else remember how deep we used to be at RB?
  5. I can confirm that he is gone.
  6. But wait... Dodge's offenses were good, right? Also, just like Athletic Directors, beat writers can be around a program too long. Stopresponding to GMG with nine point posts on your blog. Just sad.
  7. Yes, I am really not understanding the love for Dodge's offense. Even with the better numbers, it isn't good!
  8. Folks, Rex Rollins not with the team any more. Old news. We currently have only 3 scholarship RBs with a freshman coming in the fall. Anyone totally comfortable with that given that Tucker is unproven, Ivery is small and has grade issues, and Wilson has never played a full season? I am not. Welcome, Mr. Wyche.
  9. Numbers are different. I got mine off ESPN stats. Are these good offense stats without defensive/ST scores? Those would be more representative for sure of what the offense did. Thanks for posting. Even so, I am not sure that these represent success for any of the coaches. 24 points a game in the modern game is pretty pedestrian. I agree on the last point. Sustained drives are better than quick 3 and outs for sure. I am not sure I get the unrealized potential argument though. If you get a lot of yards without scoring, then your offensive plan isn't very solid. See the Dodge years.
  10. I don't have blind hatred of you. I just don't think that you are right all the time and enjoy calling you out when you are wrong. And I did compare Mac's ppg numbers. As I noted they were slightly better. And also yards don't matter.
  11. Popped up on my radar too because some of our coaches started following him on Twitter.
  12. I agree and tire of the excitement some here express over walk-on 4th stringers in general... That being said, I watched the game online as best as I could. Shanbour was the best QB on the field, and I am not sure it was even close. Now one practice does not define the entire Spring or make someone the best player or starter. But I can see why Silver has been touting this kid. Morris should start, but Shanbour will push him and be a solid backup when needed. Could also be used here and there as a change of pace for his running abilities.
  13. Folks don't buy revisionist history. Dodge's offense sucked. It was kind of fun to watch at times and moved the ball around a lot between the 20s. But those offenses did NOT score points. And points are the only measure of success for an offense. Everyone remembers the Navy game and equates it with the whole 4 years of offense. Not true. Year Rank Pts/G 2007 79 24.8 2008 103 20.0 2009 67 26.1 2010 85 23.9 That is a 4 year average of 23.7. Sorry that is not a success. Well, it has to be good compared to the awful, boring offense of McCarney, right? For comparison, including last year's 15 pts/g average, Buick 2.0 Coach Mac had a 5 year average of 23.9. So actually, Dodge was worse. Raise your standards 90!!! Stop accepting mediocrity!!!1!!!!!1
  14. Would have been funnier if it was Pat Summit.
  15. I have to admit that I am almost impressed with the new levels of stupid this board has reached. As long as there are plenty of clicks, right?
  16. They should have used the banner money on something worthy like this. Sure I will help a bit.
  17. BillySee is a transferer
  18. On the above, I didn't see reference to this in the fan reviews: Brandon Garner is congratulated after his third interception of Saturday's scrimmage. (photo by David Pyke) THREE INTERCEPTIONS!!
  19. Here you go! http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2016/03/unt-set-to-open-spring-practice-tomorrow.html/
  20. Implementing completely new offense and defense. Probably going to work to see who needs to get weeded out of the program as well, one could speculate. Some real tough, come to Jesus type stuff perhaps. No reason to close practices at all, right?
  21. Ever notice how nice Vito is to the coaches that give him lots of access compared to those that don't?
  22. Omg when are you people going to open your eyes and demand accountability from this random internet forum fan in VA? How much longer will you continue to support him? Typos? He cant even keep up! Fix the problem!
  23. Not really a strength position for depth any more though. Wilson goes down - and he has both seasons - and it looks thin.
  24. Pussy still means a cat, right?
