On several long runs I have seen number 8 out on the edge fending off a DB as Wilson gains yards.

Fine has done a good job this year, as mentioned elsewhere. One thing I noticed with the long completions is that the WR often has to break stride and slow down for the catch. He then gets tackled for a long gain. Really glad we are completing these now, but to me it indicates perhaps Fine should release the ball a little earlier. Our receivers have been getting behind the DBs and could go the distance if hit in stride.

As someone who has rarely been in Texas the last 8+ years, I can tell you that when someone recognizes UNT, they say “Mean Green, right?” People recognize the Mean Green brand nationally. One thing RV got right was the move to Mean Green for sports.

The need to scramble to a last minute win and all the points given up in the last quarter was very frustrating and a real concern. But Dodge comparisons are silly. Dodge would have found ways to lose.
