  1. It is an obvious choice but the poll creator didn’t think our leading receiver was important.
  2. Can someone remind me if Carrol and Redfearn ended up as blue shirts? If so then we should be done at OL. I would like to see another WR, a S, two CB, and four on the DL for sure - all from HS. Then add the best JUCOs you can find, hopefully a DT and/or DE, maybe a TE. And a top-rated HS kicker. Anything left, just sign the best athletes possible and sort out the position later.
  3. That’s what she said?
  4. Not to go all Ben Gooding on this thread, but damn we have a lot of areas for improvement for a 9 win team that is a division favorite! Not being sarcastic at all here. D-line needs a better push and not let mobile qbs go loose up the middle, need much stronger linebacker play, DBs need to stop the deep ball better, OL has to give more time to Fine and be much improve on obvious short yardage run plays, and god help us we need a kicker. Despite all that, I think 7 wins is our floor and 10 our ceiling. Can’t wait to get this season started! #BeatThePhonies
  5. I know some of the old timers bristle a bit at Mean Green, but I can tell you this was one thing RV got 100 percent right. I understand the argument that Eagles ties all alumni together, but nationally Mean Green is known - if nothing else just because it is so unique. I live and travel all around the world and college football fans don’t know anything about UNT other than Mean Green. But they know that at least. It worked!
  6. One thing that stands out to be is the blocking of Wilson on pass rushers.
  7. I sure wish those of us overseas could go to MGS...
  8. I think Kidsey had bigger problems than what hand sign he flashed in a game. And NT is who ultimately suffered by losing an obviously very talented WR that could have thrived under Seth. grow up people
  9. Wow Ohio must have felt right at home at Fouts.
  10. I think the author isn’t so familiar with us perhaps. Murray and Brooks at first team is a stretch- although Brooks probably has the talent but didn’t execute last year. Also don’t understand predicting a loss to UTSA if they are so confident we are that good. La Tech, SMU, or SoMiss would make more sense.
  11. Brett often uses the word "settled" to describe a commit's choice. I have always assumed it is an intention jab at NT, since he is theoretically a professional writer that should understand the negative connotation. I think a recruit settling would be at the end of the process when other offers had dried up, not during active recruitment by other schools. Like, "Once Tom and Bill started talking to hotter girls, Brett's wife settled for marrying him." But again, perhaps we are reading too much into Brett's word selection. Settled isn't incorrect, it just seems like a strange choice.
  12. https://twitter.com/oa_3rd/status/1007802188457021440?s=21
  13. A couple of talented kids on the DL is a must for this class. A good high school DT would be a nice start.
  14. Who do they think they are?
  15. And then let him take a giant dump on the SMUt sideline
  16. Seven in seven days I believe. They’ve been killing it.
  17. If we can get the horse there, we definitely need to feature it. Anyone one been to an Army-Navy game? If so, you know they produce some amazing smack-talk videos for that game. Justify versus my little pony would make a great video.
  18. No one says no to... oh never mind, you know the rest.
  19. So ended up as a late qualifier. I can see why he didn’t get offered if there were such concerns.
  20. I am a Vito critic but this was a good article.
  21. Ok article and good publicity but not in depth really. Murray currently isn’t even top five in the OL much less the offense. They were just looking at his size and experience. Woodworth is far superior and should be in any top five. Same with Gardner. Hamilton would be on my list in his place. My top five offense: Fine, Woodworth, Guyton, Lawrence, Smith defense: Young, Ejiya, Hamilton, Hall, English (Brooks if English can’t go)
  22. Not to mince words too finely, but it is in a list of possible signature wins. The parenthetical remark only notes it is not P5 but still a big win. I disagree with its placement on said list. It would be a good win against a solid program and could help in recruiting, but it isn’t program changing like those others.
  23. Arkansas this year. PS Houston is not a signature win.
  24. We are a good team. Maybe even a very good team? (I am not 100 percent confident of that yet.) Good teams are not afraid to play anyone, especially start-ups.
